QUOTE(mumbly297 @ Mar 29 2017, 12:35 AM) Guys what actual RELA do in malaysian security context? I have ask most if my malaysian relatives but none can give an a good answer. Went to KL and Penang for wedding ceremony and so them around but with no weapons. I believe it started in the days of the communist insurgency with the establishment of the Homeguard units. The idea of RELA is there's a semi-trained civilian volunteer force that can be called up to render assistance to your regular police force. They're not meant for battle, those would be your Wataniah/Reserves. |

QUOTE(keown83 @ Mar 31 2017, 01:36 AM) i always envy with the way Singapore advertise their servicemen Lol, you should see the way the US armed forces advertise... even more powerso professional, much like, very wow i look also feels wanna join if ATM could produce an advertisement as gud as this But then they are a patriotic bunch, so not much nudging needed to get them to enlist. Times have changed, serving in the military is now a noble thing and there will be lots of ppl "thank you for your service" if you see them around in uniform. QUOTE(MilitaryMadness @ Mar 31 2017, 11:11 AM) Bizarrely, some writers have speculated that today's improved body armor has a strange side-effect. My 2 cents, before this they would have probably been KIA without the help of modern armor and the PJs in their medivacs.More soldiers are surviving otherwise fatal injuries, but at the cost of permanent and often debilitating disabilities. These injured are severely overstretching the US military veterans aid agencies and limiting the number of those who could be helped by the agencies. This in turn is the leading cause of homelessness and often mental health problems for these disabled veterans. Of course some do get help, but what about those who can't? ![]() This post has been edited by miuk: Mar 31 2017, 11:28 AM |

QUOTE A pilot from the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier safely ejected from a fighter jet, according to a statement from the Commander of the U.S. Seventh Fleet. QUOTE The pilot ejected from his F/A-18E Super Hornet as it was on its final approach to land on the USS Carl Vinson. The Navy said the plane had been conducting "routine flight operations during a transit in the Celebes Sea." The body of water is north of Indonesia and south of the Philippines. |

QUOTE(Kojke @ May 15 2017, 07:11 PM) There is actually no need for any peace accord. CPM was dying (at the end only 1k+ old men/women with tongkat turned up). Why the fuss to make one and tear it up and make yourself look bad? Mahathir wanted to be a national hero. He thought putting an end to the chapter will put himself and umno up as gentlemen in history. Mana tau they don't have the capacity to accommodate a single chin peng and ended up as "laughing stock" (this one came from former IGP Rahim "kasi anwar mata hitam" Noor). I read that Rahim Noor was against the idea of allowing the cpm to return to malaysia because it didn't sit well with the security forces community but the government was pushing to go ahead at all cost. The same Rahim Noor who was against the ex-cpm coming back here later said the government should let chin peng to return. Why? Because an agreement is an agreement and at the end of the day, is still an agreement. You do not agree you don't sign. After you sign you baru cakap not agree, the fuck is this? Lagi teruk the whole thing is started by malaysia. noone force malaysia to go the table. malaysia sendiri yang ajak. Late to the party but I fully agree that when you raised arms against the country and lost, dont expect to come back. |

QUOTE(cunnilinguist @ Jul 3 2017, 04:04 PM) US, any sworn LEO will carry. Even your CBP agents at airport that stamp your passport also will carry because they're considered sworn officers.Usually almost any agency will have an enforcement unit and those will be sworn peace officers. |
