well F35 itself price will getting cheaper，but F-35 combat advantage is new generation “networked” and “situational awareness” capability to kill enemy jet before they know。 but before F-35 can take such advantage, you need have Electronic warfare plane, AEW&C plane, many spy satellite, military satellite, super data communication via satellite/ground， long range (1000KM+ range) radar, ship radar , all networked together to provide all those information to F-35. there is huge cost investment to have all this asset and high maintenance cost, plus high skill military personal (high salary?) to operate. so i think in 10-15 years our MAF mostly still lack of this, maybe partially like AEW&C possible have it. before have all this, F-35 no have much advantage actually。

went i see the KD perdana RHIB photo,i guest just about 6 meter+-, so small RHIB to fit 9 personal, it more suitable to fit 6-7 personal, i guest they keep over load the RHIB for long time. so malfunction is expected.

RHIB use for boarding party to check foreign boat/suspect boat, it come with many spec/size. it not use for patrol, it carry by KD Perdana。Navy boat and warship usually carry 1-2 unit RHIB for Boarding /rescue/transportation proposes。
CB90 also not design to use as Patrol,but we lack of patrol boat so no choice have to use want ever RMN have. use over spec job, every asset have lifespan...

from below photo, same to KD perdana RHIB， it look like RHIB is lack of GPS dome/Radar dome/radio，mostly come with personal radio. it suitable for Line of sight (from patrol boat) operation。 means no beacon at all.
