Ehhhh...u play X-COM terror from the deep but what about the original X-COM that one was way awesome!...I remember aleycats that a good one...for me:

-Prince of Persia
-Space Quest
-Double Dragon
-Golden Axe(heck of a soundtrack)
-Duke 3D
-that 2d platform game where u can transform into a beast...forgot the name
-Tron(the old one played it on my school computer)
-X-Wing
-Dune2
-Comanche(agreed it rocked)
-Wolfy 3D

I disagree we didnt need to upgrade...altough the graphic card segment was in its infancy...we still upgraded our sound card(hell much better listenin to dune2 with proper sound card the intro sounded so cool). And added more RAM. Remember Alien Vs Predator that one was one of the most demanding games those day(needed more RAM than the standard RAM used those days). The latter games we beginning to use more RAM and even CPU(Comanche series)...the first true 3D game i played was Quake. Playing it on my PC was one thing but i was blown away when i saw it on my friends pc. He has a Diamond Monster 3D(I think 8mb). Whoa the blood was curved rather than sharp square...and the walls were not pixelated....And then Mechwarrior 2 came out and i was constantly in my friends house playing it multiplayer...freaking awesome man...

Whoa 64 Megs of EDO for a 486 is quite a lot...only upgrade i did for my 486 was the sound card...later when i got a Pentium 200MMX(remember those) i really got into PC upgrading, added ram and changed graphic card...I think i bought a Voodoo Banshee...funny thing was i had the fastest CPU for like only 2 weeks...the 200MMX was damn fast just slightly below a 200 pentium pro but not that far off...The first game i played on that machine was a pod racing game...it used MMX instruction which is u ask me is a load of gimmick...the game that really showed the power of my system was MDK(awesome game the first one)...unfortunately 2 weeks after i bought the system Intel released Pentium 2!LOL
