They sell copies of shareware games and mail the diskettes to your house together with a monthly catalogue with bunch of other shareware games and rating.

I played Dungeon Keeper 1 on my old Pentium 1 in DOS mode.

That game rocks ... too bad they never make anymore sequel to it.

*I remember the developer Bullfrog got bought over or closed down ?

Someone earlier mentioned other bitmap bros games like Gods and magic pockets. But for me my favourites were speedball 2 and xenon 2... OMG VGA pwnage back then.

Wing Commander - running to the ships scene with the klaxons blaring and music on Creative's Game Blaster Card, classic memories lol.

Other favourites were, Ultima IV - i think i spent most of the time running around not really knowing what to do, how did people live without gamefaqs.com?

Atari 2600, Apple II, 8088 proccessors, 4.44mhz and CGA graphics = ol' skool!

Nowadays, when i want to do some retro gaming, It's MAME32 for me. All the fun of the arcades without the cigarette smoke or the risk of getting caught in a school uniform in an arcade raid tongue.gif

Really hated the annoying random deaths in the old adventure games though. Flushing the toilet and crossing the road in Leisure Suit Larry would result in your untimely death in those days. King's quest.. you had to type "swim" when you entered a lake or else you would drown doh.gif

probably the grandaddy of all RPG-like movie games in which games like Genji and God of War should be this genre's youngest siblings.

Monkey Island 2-4 anyone? (miss out on the 1st, though got it from a friend recently)

ROTK series. Classic for 3 kingdoms story. Miss out on 1,3&7.

Dungeon Keeper (Gold) - It's a nice game. Design your own dungeons & fit against other minions or heroes. There's hidden levels depending on your PC time too. Too bad miss out on DK2.

Prince of persia (DOS). Ah, a classic. Best time record: 13m 47s. Worst time record: -6m 34s. Strange, isn't it? Even the time has elapsed, I can still go and face off Jaafar...
