Average notebook price RM 3K? what are the specs like? what brand u guys suggest? easy to claim warranty if anything happen .. like my friend's compaq anything happen need to bring to singapore .. thats crazy far

Hey guys, whats the maximum installment can be done for buying a laptop/notebook?

Guys, i'm in dilemma now. Please guide me on buying a laptop. Any other brands beside these two? My friends are using Compaq presario 900, others can't really remember, also compaq. Theirs are getting old, about 2 years old.

My Budget RM 3,500 - RM 4K

The brands of laptop I have in my mind.

1. Compaq
2. Dell

*Hard disk capacity prefer at least 60GB, 40GB also can.
*512MB RAM
*Processor I don't know which to choose Centrino or Pentium M?
*DVD Burner
*JBL feature or similar (the volume has to be clear and loud, not those sound about to burst or explode. )
*Wi-Fi/Bluetooth

What I will do using this laptop?
*Photoshop/Illustrator, and some other similar applications.
*Typing/Editing text
*Listening to musics
*Surfing
*Games maybe 1 or 2 only, i'm no hardcore gamer and I don't play much.

Today I went to sg.wang saw this Compaq Presario V2320 (Widescreen), selling at RM 3,999. Lowyat should be able to get cheaper than this price.

40GB, 256MB, Intel Pentium M 1.6GHZ, other specs can't really remember.

I like the stylish design. , anyone using this laptop? please give some feedback.

Upgrade to 512MB, free upgrade or? How much do you bought? Any free gifts?
