normally laptop wont come with 2gb ram expecially those model in ur price range,
suggest u go for lower price model,
and use the extra budget to add another 1 gb of ram to it...

for warranty and term of service,
advice to go for dell,
for cheap one,
maybe u can think abt HP compaq or Acer..
Toshiba and Asus price tag will be higher...

in term of build quality,
I prefer Asus and HP compaq...

maybe u can look for dell one,
there are model that suit ur budget...
for compaq, i like the speaker integrated,
so far no negative comment for new series of compaq notebook,
and compaq laptop also look cool...

personally i dun really like acer,
service sucks,
and the build quality so so only...

ohya, if u but compaq laptop,
remember to call them burn a driver CD for u,
the laptop come without driver CD one.

current AMD wont have overheat problem,
it is way better compare to last time performance..

other overall are good,
i think u better go back the shop,

call them to copy all the driver for u

usually u have to get compatible model,
get it from the older version of HP laptop,
such as last time V33xx series,
have to get V3000 series driver,

the V3000 driver for xp still available in the hp website...
hmm, or u try to ask those selling laptop in garage sales,
see those online right now one can give u the model or not,
my friend not available right now,
have to wait tml only can ask him...
