thinking to buy laptop which price range of RM3500 and below. Need advice on which brand should i go that meets the following criterias:

Intel Centrino (at least 1.00ghz)
12.1" VGA TFT Screen
below 1.7kg
256 DDR RAM
64mb graphic card
Port for TV, projectors
USB 2.0
Combo drive
40GB hard Disk
WIFI
battery life at least 3 hours
SD/MMC Card Reader


i went to LOw Yatt last week, and i saw Prestigio 1223 (with Power Cinema) is closely met the above criterias. But i'm not sure the brand is reliable or not. The sale person said, Prestigio is famous in singapore and the performance is better than ACER..is that true?.pls advice and give your suggestion..Thanks

Thanks for your reply irenicus, 15" LCD Screen is to big and heavy to me..but, you are recommending me not to go for Acer, how about Prestigio?..i note that both Prestigio and Acer are under the same manufacturer, i mean the same "kilang" but different company, is that consider the performance is the same?..i saw that Prestigio 1223 come with crystal bright lcd screen, Power Cinema, easy carrying cos quite small & slim, quite cheap if compared to Acer, but the problem is i'm not sure about the brand and i heard the model is not for gamez coz intergrated graphic.

is 64mb intel intergrated graphic is not suitable for 3D games?..i'm not really thinking to go for heavy game, if it managed to suit for at least FIFA 2005, it should be ok for me..in term of performance and battery life, pls expert to give me an advice about prestigio..one more thing, is PC Fair give us good offer?If so, i rather wait another 2 weeks..

ACER ASPIRE 5502 or Dell 700m..? This 2 models always in my mind now..the price within range my budget..i love the specs of ACER but exterior wise, goes to Dell 700m.

Pls debate on this to help me to make decision..PLs..

IBM is reliable as what being so many times posted in here..but the specs is not value for money and exterior wise look outdated already..

"Reliable" to me, depending on what sort of application, frequently used, kind of user, how good we take care of the notebook, and some others which may vary among users which is within our control..the users opinion almost refers..

But the truely "reliable" is, how does the system link and intergrated with other, which is beyond our control but depending on the manufacture to setup the best mechanisme to run the system as whole..The specialist shall have word on this..

I need specialist to give opinion on this..

value for money?..i give you one example la..why people choose myvi instead of savvy eventhough people knew that savvy is much cheaper almost RM10,000 as compared to myvi?..

value for money shouldnt always relates to the cheaper thingy, value for money should be based on comparison with other product in the same industry, or range of products..how much we can benefited from this product compared to that product?..thats it..

it is not lecture, just my personal opinion..
