QUOTE(smileypig @ May 29 2006, 09:55 AM) hi guys, i'm planning to buy a laptop to bring oversea for study purpose. My budget is below RM 4500. Between acer, toshiba and dell,Toshiba is the best among them.Requirement: Centrino Duo harddisk 60/80 GB 512 RAM or above at least 14" which brand more reliable and have better quality?? acer, toshiba and dell? which 1 better? pls provide me some advices with price and feature of the model.. thanks a lot Toshiba is a solid well built lappie. Below RM4500,you won't be able to get toshiba core duo if not mistaken. But u will be able to get Dell Inspiron 6400. QUOTE(super macgyver @ May 30 2006, 12:20 AM) Panasonic Toughbook lappies are real tough lappie.Saw it in PC Fair for around 8K. |

QUOTE(hungheykwun @ Jun 1 2006, 04:35 PM) Thunderstorm last week. Fried modem & pc, needed a computer fast, went to senq bought a notebook(Compaq Presario v2000) for RM2399 without any research. Stupid me, didnt realize it was a celeron. kinda regret buying it now. You can keep it and spend more to upgrade the RAM till 1GB or 2GB,no point selling it now as it has no resale value. My notebook specs: * 1.6Ghz Celeron * 256MB RAM (added 512MB RM200) * 40GB HDD My uses: * net * .net programming * not so high end 3d games * photoshop * watch dvd my question: should i resell & buy a better one? Upgrading RAM will help in improving lappie performance like running prog. smoother. |

QUOTE(AllOfTheDayAndAllOfTheNight @ Jun 21 2006, 08:55 AM) hie ya! Compaq Presario M2512AU,priced at RM1999.im planning to buy one. it must have 512MB ram, decent graphic card, and big space concerning the HDD. and of course all the laptop must-have accesories such as dvd writer, wifi, card reader etc etc. my question is this: can i afford a laptop that has all of the crteria above; and it falls below my rm2500 budet? thanks. For card reader, you can get an external one also it does not come with a dvd writer but a combo drive. |
