dell is offering online coupon till this wednesday. buy a inspiron with 3years warranty if u dont care the dell quality.

btw, i will recommend NEC if u want me to choose between ftec and nec.

okie. a notebook with independent graphic card. May be u can consider toshiba tecra S2 (with 1.6 centrino). the current retail price is RM5399, but u will get lower price if u pay by cash. The best thing bout tecra series is they come with 3 years warranty and hv some sort of protection mechanism for ur hdd. Also, since u are an engineer student, are u going to transfer data to machine? if yes, tecra will be ur choice since it comes with serial port which home user series doesnt provide. Dont worry bout the 256mb ram. u can deal with the shop to get a single stick 512mb. never get 2x256mb which forces u to sell it at very low price when u wanna to upgrade to 1GB.

I have been eyeing on this model.. but due to my budget constraint, I took samsung P40 which doesnt have independent graphic, causes me having lagging prob when I'm using Pro-E.

yepps... dell 'complete cover' will rma for any spoils... surge, water spill etc.. but u need to topup about rm600++.
