Thanks to all your guidances (manage to check them before depart to Kuantan), we managed to find Kemaman and visited Sg Lembing too.
Swiss Garden is at Balok Beach and it's really a nice place to stay. Beach is cleaner than I expected with lot's of umang-umang running around you.

At Chukai, we did went to Haipeng, the coffee is nice but slightly overpriced.

It's quite hard to find lunches at beach areas so we eat at chinese restaurants - very expensive! Pak Su is the worst place I ate in this trip.

It will be an hour drive from Kuantan to Kemanman.

Stuff crab and Hai Peng kopitiam is a must.

Kemaman ...not Kemanman.

Stuffed crub is at Riverbend restaurant.

Less than hour can reach from airport using semi-highway road.

The distance from Kuantan Airport to INTIM (INTAN ground at Kg Geliga /Kuala Kemaman) is about 65KM i.e distance between KL -Seremban..so you will be expecting about RM50-RM60 taxi fare hmm.gif

On the 2 famous restaurant/Kopitiam (River Bend/Hai Peng), both are not near INTIM. It's about 6km North of INTIM. BTW, INTIM is located closer to Pahang border & very close to another hotspot CHERATING! a mere 10km South of INTIM....

Here is the zoom-out maps from malsingmaps of INTIM, famous restaurants & Cherating locations.. biggrin.gif

If you have time, just drop by Cherating Beach. Not too far from Kemaman. More happening around this time of the year.

The bus icon is just a waypoint symbol for school. Not sure on bus service in Kemaman. BTW, most restaurants & shops closed on Friday..including Hai Peng..

That's the most famous East coast kopitiam & bcos of them, u can see the mushrooming of another copycat "Kemaman Kopitiam" mushrooming in Kuantan & Klang Valley! It's the single most recommended tourist attraction mentioned in Virtual Tourist:

http://www.virtualtourist.com/travel/Asia/...maman-BR-1.html

Here are some review of them via google:

http://masak-masak.blogspot.com/2006/07/ha...terengganu.html

http://www.flsam.blogspot.com/2007/02/nasi-dagang.html

http://headsteadi.com/2007/06/05/famous-ha...-in-terengganu/

and I like this frank review bcos I hv the same feeling after trying their famous coffee (Their vietnamnese coffee is super-duper bitter! shocking.gif :

Nothing special other than their own made coffee, if you are a coffee drinker.

The nasi dagang is good at the market. It cost $1.50 a pack up from $1.00 last year.
