Was in Sibu for 3 years. My experience was pleasantly good. People were kind, tolerant, truly a 1Msia spirit than merely political gain in peninsular. Food were cheap, I can get economy rice 2 dish for rm3. Churches are everywhere, predominantly Methodist. No neighbour make noise or throw molotov into house of worships. People there are not afraid of crosses BTW.
Only complaint was, fookchow people. Being Chinese illiterate language was my main barrier. People don't speak Cantonese. And Hokkian there was too pure for me. Also, coming back to peninsular is totally dependent on Tony's mood. Festive season like Gawai flight could cost 1k per trip. This post has been edited by Zeliard: Nov 8 2019, 11:29 AM |

QUOTE(chilskater @ Nov 8 2019, 09:32 PM) Kolok mee I think every where got la. It's quite similar and everyone has their own favourite so you just explore to find the one you like okay. Mee Jawa - Kornia Recipe at Marina OR Hole 15 (i might be wrong with the number) located near Piasau Golf club. Pork Burger - MC Wok in 59 street food court at Marina Western - I like the one in Kingwood Food court at Pelita 2020. Kelabit cuisine - Try Summit Cafe at Centre Point or Sunrise Foodcourt at Boulevard (both this lunch only) Ya this are few I recommend. Anything just ask me. |

What about father is Sarawakian Chinese, born in Sarawak itself. Mother from Semenanjung. Child born in Semenanjung.....
What does that make the child status? Considered foreigner like other West Malaysians? This post has been edited by Hobbez: Nov 11 2019, 03:57 PM |

QUOTE(zhou.xingxing @ Nov 12 2019, 02:40 PM) The child is way past 12 years and spent most of the time in Semenanjung But in the Birth Cert, can it show anything, like the father is Sarawakian, etc and then strengthen any claim to present to the Sarawak authorities? Or this considered as no longer Sarawak citizen? |
