1. If you like food, then you will suffer on finding good food that suit malaysian taste (mostly are oily and salty)
2. The tax is high (20% if i not mistaken), so make sure the offer is after tax
3. Pinoy got 2 types, either is hardworking like nobody, or blow water that can worst than tsunami, so please beware
4. Makati expenses is high, it will not cheaper than KL though, so please ensure you get sufficient pay
5. Philippines not as many holiday as Malaysia, so dont blame why no holiday
6. Traffic jam is the worst part, 5km may take up 30min to 1hr in peak hour

The good thing is, San Miguel is cheap lol rclxms.gif

:: It depend on how "Healthy" is is your lifestyle. In fact i didn't live there but frequent visitor due to project (11 times in 4 months, 1 -2 weeks per visit, just back from Davao site last week) My own expenses will be around RM1k (if I am taking PHP 100 to RM 9.20 as average) per week, including meals, drinks, massage, pub, 7 11, taxi, etc., not include the KTV session (it could cost you PHP3k to 10k per KTV visit, depend on quality and class). You may go and visit Airforce One Night Club, one of the top class KTV near airport, or, LA Cafe, the most happening "Cafe" in town, which you will meet a lot of part time OL at night brows.gif brows.gif

6. Traffic jam is the worst part, 5km may take up 30min to 1hr in peak hour
Not gonna drive. I wonder how's their public transport. I will be living nearby the office. biggrin.gif
:: I dont expect you drive (although the car price is relatively cheap but petrol price is high), I am referring to the traffic, including Taxi, bus, jeepney (the small truck that acted as mini bus), walking is the best option if you stay near enough to the office

oh yah, add on some info
7. It will have flash flood after rain, due to their sewage system is filled with rubbish (basically you will smell a bit of rubbish smell throughout the city because of this) so make sure you bring umbrella all time, worst case is just take cab, or wait till flood goes off
8. Beggar \ homeless mom and kids around the city - please aware of this, they will keep asking for money from you, so if you wish to show your mercy, you better buy food and drinks to them instead of money, you will not know where the money gone + it will just bring more beggar
9. Keep minimal cash with you, it is not as safe as you thought, especially wallet and phone, use your sense just like you are walking in Pudu and lots people looking at you (the feel to protect yourself) smile.gif you may feel a bit over reacted but that's the true story, even the local will keep warning us when we at there for few weeks.

Sharing is caring bro, few place for research purpose
- LA Cafe - the most famous "Cafe" in town, basically it runs in 24 hours, just be careful when entering, if you look at the girl for more than 3 second, she will approach you immediately. There is 2 floor, downstairs is normal class and upstairs is a bit high class, you can see from those Korean and Japanese will hanging around at upstairs then... brows.gif brows.gif oh yah, their Nasi Goreng (the real food) is nice to have
- Starbucks - another famous "research" place, especially the outlet near Mall of Asia, other outlets is depend on luck lol

Another tips - if you want to pay cheaper research fees, you will have to start the nego after 2am, they will be good with you in order to get your research fees whistling.gif

Don't compare with those Sushi and Kimchi moron, they r f*cking rich and spoil the market, depend on how good is your tackle skill, the range may from FOC till 1k per research, for overnight research depend on how you nego, usually within 3k to 5k including tips - the fee is in PHP (PHP100 to RM9.00 as of today)

For top class, i didn't went for it but according to local, you actually can book the researcher from Pl*yb*y magazine, range is from 200 USD till 5k USD sweat.gif

I can vouch for a lot of this.

My wife and I are born and raised in Canada and we moved to Makati in 2015.
I got a job there in IT and we lived there for 4.5 years before moving to Bangsar South. Both my wife and I were so happy to leave.

#6 is the worst part in my opinion. Even if you want to go anywhere for the evenings or weekends you'll be sitting in traffic for hours. We once went somewhere which was only 27km's away and it took us 3.5 hours to get there.

Cost of living is also higher in Makati and the food selection is sub par. My wife and I prefer to eat healthier and or chinese food and it's really tough to find good food. It's either really salty/oily, or really sweet. If you want healthier/cleaner food, prepare to pay a premium for it.

I'm actually going to Makati on Monday for work. Not looking forward to it.

Hi all, I have currently received an offer in Makati but pending further information.

Would like to ask how much is the average rental price for condominium along the Ayala Avenue ?
