I prefer DSLR when there is special event because you got wide choices for accessories and lens. Rather than picking up D5600 + 70-300 better go with D7200 used + prime lens like 35mm 1.8 or 24mm 1.4. You will be blown away by its result if you like bokeh and portraits. For everyday point and shoot, smartphone is enough. (using oneplus 3T and it works good with street photography but not great. Good enough)
