back from taiwan... and the gym update really confusing and harder for me to play anymore...

harder to take down a gym now as my area most of them are blue and yellow...

and if got red also no more slot for me to put my pokemon...

so now i totally ignore gym now...

I've tried it once, and got second shinny... but that was before update. Until now, lazy to do.... LOL

Actually the new gym system makes it easier to take down gyms. A level 6 gym (full health) u only need to battle 3 rounds. Most of the time the same lineup can be used 3x (no need potion) as the cp of the defender also reduces each round. You need around 15 min max to solo a level 6 gym even with blissey, snorlax. This is provided of coz the blissey isn't super high cp and ppl dont feed berry constantly while battling.
Means you go to a place with high magikarp spawn rate and just catch magikarp after magikarp. Don't catch anything else until you get a shinny. I did it once, around 20th got my 2nd shinny magikarp. You can spin pokestops, revive mons, battle gyms (not recommended) but don't catch anything else... even dratini  (i assume near lake...) coz it will "break the chain".  After you get shinny, you can catch others and start again. I read online the quantum varies, sometimes you get it by 10th, some until 50th. Try at your own will bro.... LOL.

Then change again lor. Apa susah.

Speaking about power up.. the other day you're asking about 12 attk Machamp right?

At 12attk, you'll need to power up till lvl37.5 for Counter to do full damage while the same can be achieved with lvl36 if its 15attk.
Rhydon and Golem are just speculation of what will work for the legendaries.

While I'll keep good IV ones and pinap any geodude, rhyhorn I see.... I won't be spending dust on them just yet.

Lesson learned from past spendrift ways

I was at a nearby gym just now on the way to work checking if there's any valor gym I can park then got one mei mei come over ask me if I can help her take down raid boss.

So I helped her with squad selection ... lvl 34, 2m+ dust but no strong squad.

Moral of the story : Play pokemon go and meet mei mei.

if blissey as a raid boss, 15 player may not enough to defeat it.....

First 2 raids, got it with first ball. Next 2 raids, ran. Next 2 raids got it with 5th and 1st ball...dunno if I wanna continue raid zapdos or keep pass for other legendary.

Yesterday raid.. right in front of everyone got signboard say don't use Blissey and guess what... ppl still use Blissey!!

If its lightly defended gym yes... I'll take down the first defender which is 90% of the time Blissey. If its not then doesn't matter.... just go full round.

But for those known fortress level gym.. I will go through one or two full round first cos:

1) advertise for others to join (doesn't work if you're team instinct) 
2) to gauge whether defenders active or not
3) to waste some berries.

Only then I will repeat attack blissey.
