No idea, the replacement price quoted by Huawei SC is quite reasonable so I don't really see the need to find 3rd party source to change the battery, who knows if the battery is authentic and is safe for 5V3A fast charging or not  whistling.gif
Touchboost is when you touch the screen, the frequency of the CPU will go up (to 1.2GHz if I recall correctly), thus increasing the consumption of battery juice in the long run, but by how much? Very hard to measure, perhaps only 1 or 2% per charge?

I am currently running Android O and there is no custom kernel for it yet. Previously I was on DarkSpice when running Pure Nexus.

How long does it take to replace? Do they do it on site or have to wait for few days?

It could be as fast as same day (so far I've seen few people here getting same day collection with Lowyat Plaza SC), and up to 5 working days, depending on the amount of phone waiting to be serviced by them.

I was in Low Yat last week and I asked them regarding the battery replacement. The technician quoted me RM600+ and he said the battery comes with the LCD screen panel.

Have you try ask people at RR forum if similar problem occured. Since different custom ROM have different problem. I don't have that problem with stock... DU or Nitrogen OS.

Yes, the Huawei service centre at Low Yat. I was prepared to pay RM120+ for the battery replacement until the TECHNICIAN came out and told me it is RM600+ I don't know if that really is the case or he doesn't want business haha.

Don't know if it is a prank by them or not haha laugh.gif

I visited the service center 2 weeks ago (for other stuff) and asked them about the battery replacement, they calculated on the spot and told me it is RM 127.20 (after GST and labor fees etc.), check post #364 in this thread, someone changed his battery @Plaza Berjaya for the same amount of money too.

This was what his staff said initially. Until the technician came out and told me otherwise. I think he just don't want business haha. I think I might give the one at Plaza Berjaya a call, my battery has been REALLY bad lately.

No need to waste your time calling the service center at Plaza Berjaya, they don't bother to pick up one (if you read back the posts in this thread, you'll know brows.gif )

I need to go change the battery of my Nexus 6p too. It's gotten really bad and it's only been 1 year old. So disappointed with the phone.

I managed to call them this morning and they confirmed it is RM120+ for battery only. No battery + LCD panel together. So I guess I'll just wait until I'm free to go down to Plaza Berjaya.
