Does anyone still have this issue?
I've been using unifi all these while and constantly heard from my friends that maxis fibre users who are situated in a congested area tend to have very high ping.
I half believe them until I started using maxis for my new place, gosh the ping is so unstable that gaming is made impossible.
Is there anyway for us to improve the situation? Not sure if CS will help resolve this issue.

Any members here who faced similar issue but manage to improve it by changing to a better router?
I'm currently using the standard technicolor router provided by maxis.
Care to share experience?

When I was still using Maxis the ping was good enough around 15-20ms for Wot Blitz server in SG.
Not so good for Battlefield 4 servers (but they're located quite far away) nor for Street Fighter V online matches (still only if they're far away).
But then I don't play many games.

The weird thing is with UniFi I can get around 30-60ms. But with maxis, it's always 60-120 sometimes 200+ms. What's with maxis's terrible ping rate?

Yes, it's terrible. Complain to them few times but it's useless, they never bother to fix the problem. Going to terminate my account and will never use maxis fibre again.

It has gotten even worst since last weekend. Last time from Ipoh could get latency as low as 5ms during less peak hours daily. Suddenly the latency rate spiked more than 4 times the last few days. Now my line became like unusable. Speed test only getting 1-2mbps for a 30M line and latency more than 20ms. EDIT: Just turned on my ONT/router back again few mins ago, speed returned to normal but ping still exceptionally high at ~15ms. Maybe Merdeka coming, Maxis network always like that approaching festive holidays their Hotlink will sell cheap on demand MU passes so the traffic will spike. If you're latency conscious, when using Maxis approaching festive seasons and holidays such as Merdeka, Raya, CNY, Diwali always be prepared for latency spikes.
