To be fair, it's not about the card size. It's about the DATA contained in it. SD cards with capacity of up to 256GB is normal nowadays.

The problem with the way Nintendo packages its Switch games is that it's too barebones. I wouldn't have cringed at the relatively HUGE boxes that comes with the small Game Cards if it at least include some kind of paperwork like manuals, or perhaps a soundtrack CD. BUT NO! Even Zelda BOW comes with nothing more than the Game Card itself and some simple artwork inside.
