Erm...not KL tourism office la. It is the Taiwan Visitors Association's office in JRC.  KL Tourism Office ppl usually mean the MATIC at Jalan Ampang.

From what I und, autumn/winter they give hotspring vouchers and spring/summer they give the tourist Easycard.  during Autumn/Winter, you can ask them if don't want the hotspring voucher can take the Easycard or not.  If they got stock, they will give.  However, my fren said the hotspring voucher is worth like NT200 compared to NT50 on the Easycard but he took the Easycard coz he ady booked/paid for his hotspring from KL before he found out abt this freebie.

I just redempted some nice item at Wisma Goldhill, Jln Raja Chulan.
For people travelling to Taiwan within June , they have a Promotion, they gave either :

  Easy Card NT50 

or

Theme Park Entrance Ticket for all the theme park in Taiwan ( Yes, Including Window On China, for Doraemon)<--- more worth than the easy card.
The Window On China Theme Park showcasing doraemon stuff will last till January 2011, so better go there to see it within this year.

No Diff. Taiwan is using this type "ll" similar to China. Anyway at Taipei Hostel, you can charge it at the lobby area. They have multiple point there...You can blog & chat wth those Mat Salleh staying there.

Well, treat those long timers (Mat Salleh & Japanese (Rika- hopefully still there) as friends & also Lily as friend & jaga for you lor. Every nite you will see the tiny lobby will be so noisy wth those ex-pat teachers chatting, surfing & etc. They will take care for you. Sooner you will be joining them & sharing your travel experience..haha..& most of them haven't been to Malaysia!

BTW, you can use the tiny kitchen too to cook whatever food you want. Opposite Shandao temple, there is a supermarket. I stocked most of my supper there (Taiwan instant noodle, Taiwan beer & fruits..haha  )
