The Best place for Electronics is Guanghua -Electronics is same everywhere-Warranty. There are items I have bought that have never gone wrong and others that go wrong all the time, It your luck. Stuff I have bought from Guanghua-Never had any problem in over 20+yrs.Many shops there , so ask around before purchase and here, they are polite and do not scold you for just asking prices e.t.c. The people will surprise you.

Also if you can eat beef, the BEST Niuromien (Taiwan Beef Noodle) in Taipei is at: #15 Taoyuan Street. From 10am to 8 pm -closed on Sundays NTD140 per bowl of Heavenly delight. Been eating here for 20+ years.
XIMEN MRT Exit 3, walk passed FE Dept store-second lane on your left. Note there is a shop with big signs e.t.c. THIS is not it, the #15 is opp without any signage , you will see people preparing the noodles outside the shop. This shop does not advertise nor take part in competitions.

You can pick up one at the Airport at the Telecom counter on Arrival, once you clear the customs and exit to the main hall, it's on your right if Terminal 1.You will need PP Copy.Costs about NTD500/-
3 companies represented-chose the best offer once you are there.

Personally, I Buy an International Calling card,It's about NTD150 for 75 mins to Singapore -NTD2 per minute (MKY Card -NTD300 card) at the EEC store at Taipei City Mall Underground - Sec 12 -13 behind Taipei main station. 10am ~ 9pm

Malaysians who need Halal food:
For inexpensive Indonesian Halal food, you can go behind Taipei Main Station to the underground Mall (Taipei City Mall) Sec 1 or outside East Entrance 3, cross road at traffic light near Taxi Stand, walk down the Lane and Indon Shops on your right. I know they have food during lunch after 11am and Weekends. I am not sure about evenings like Nasi Padang.
