I need some suggestion how many days to travel around taipei, taichung and kaohsung? I will plan to go this Oct with another friend. Will travel from city to city by bullet train.

Is end of Sept suitable time to go or mid of Oct better? I afraid got typhoon then that would spoil my trip.
