if i spend 6days b'cos now we decided to take the eva air instead of china airlines... so eva air only give us choose either spend 4d3n or 6d5n at taiwan.... so we thought of going to much more places.... got any recommend places for seeing those tradition thing like view or others.... is there any possible public transport to hualien....

Yea...The cheapest ticket to Taipei for AA promot is RM297/way and the travel date is from Sept 2011...so not very ngam for me...sigh...have searched a few...can't get cheaper than RM900 leh...

Cebu PAcific got promo and it's quite cheap...but I heard a lot of bad feed back on this airline....flight delay, flight cancel...etc..better don't risk it...

I am travelling to Taipei from 31st March 2011 until 11th April 2011 .... beside Taipei ... which place should I visit ? I mean outskirt that got nice scenery and any interesting places. I stay near Taipei 101 tower.

Should I take local tour in Taipei for travelling to outskirt ? any recommendation ?

act, u can change to SGD or HKD but not MY lolz.... then u can exchange at any bank in taiwan but their operating hour is 9am-3.30pm only.....

If you dun mind the RM30 differences for every TW$1000, then just direct trf-lah...lotsa discussion on this much earlier in the thread 

RM is not well traded here in KL & so do in TW. So the best if dunwan to lost RM30 for each NT$1000, change 1st to SU$, S$ 1st & thereafter to NT$

i just back from taiwan at 28 feb. the weather is good...slightly cooler than genting..no worries..1 jacket will do
er.that day i saw Tao Yuan airport do accept RM.. but banks and money changer in taipei do not accept. In fact. the exchange rates in the airport is cheaper..
before i go, my exchange rate was NT 100 = RM10.7, but the rates in airport was only RM10.2 to NT100

there are hundreds or thousands of nike/adidas shops in taipei alone..if u wan to buy sports shoe, u can go 高雄 新崛江商圈, it's near to MRT station, 中央公园站
if you are in taipei, u can go 西门町 to shop.

for the longchamp bag, it is inside tao yuan international airport. near Zon D. my advice is, depart from ur hotel to airport earlier and line up to wait for the check in counter open, be the first to check in and go to those duty free shops to buy ur things...inside is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!! and since it's duty free, of caz the price are cheaper than msia.!! COACH GUCCI shops all available

i'll be going to taiwan next month. can anyone suggest me a telco which i can get a prepaid sim for data and voice calls? will be using it on iphone. expecting some local calls + google map +light internet browsing within the cities...

For me, as I don't really heavy user, I used Skype to call out or internet browsing as and when within free wifi hotspot (My hostel-lah haha) & for GPS, of AGPS & used ovimaps /Garmin which is FOC.

No need to buy any SIM card.

What are the best months to go Taiwan? i prefer not so hot like Msia. Weather like Genting would be the best & cozy.
I plan to use Raya Holiday as the opportunity.. Else i have to plan for some other country due to taifung issue.

Hi, so I'm going to Taiwan next sunday. Flight AA total cost RM1084/2pax booked last september.

will stay 4 nights at taipei at Fun Taipei Backpackers near Jiantan MRT (Shilin Night Market) rate TWD4640/4nights/2pax

then will travel south to Cingjing and stay one nite there at starry house. TWD1980 including breakfast & steamboat dinner for 2person.

next day will go sun moon lake and back to taichung staying at J&I costing TWD1300 w/o breakfast.

Then next day only leave for airport.

7days/6nights. Just wanna let u guys know only... it's free n easy and i have done quite a lot of research. but can't really finish the whole taiwan.

probably will just change all MYR to TWD here instead of switching to USD. Will activate ATM card so that I can use in Taiwan ti withdraw cash if need more $$.

i apply digital tour buddy from taiwan youth. if you below 30 yrs old, u can get free sim with TWD100 preloaded. but must return back before you leave.
