Hi

Anybody can help?
a) Is it possible to buy BTC from BTC-e with fund transfer?
b) How to get USDT?

I am trying to buy BTC using FIAT from either BTC-e or Polo cause much cheaper.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi Gss2k

I see a price difference almost 100USD and even at LUNO, its more expensive than the actual price quoted at Coinbase

USDT is a coin like bitcoin but it is peg to the dollar. It can move in price sometimes. It is not real dollar, it can go above a dollar and below. polo dont have away to put in USD so they use USDT. if you go to coinmarketcap.com, the coin name is called Tether. that is why the price is never the same as coinbase.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

USDt is same like Paypal or Neteller in a digital form, so you exchange your FIAT dollar to digital dollar.

Tether ---> http://tether.to/

So open account with them, get verified.
Then Wire your fund into this your account here. u can open EURO, USD and YEN. MYR is not supported.

Then you can spend your USDt to many exchange

https://www.bitfinex.com/
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/
https://poloniex.com/
https://shapeshift.io/
https://www.kraken.com/

I'm using POLO as an example. They don't allow WIRE incoming, so use alternative which is USDt.
Debit your tether wallet, credit your polo USD account.

So TL;DR

CIMB/Maybank --> Tether Wallet (Wire deduction etc) --> POLO (no charges) ---> buy BTC ---> sell BTC --> get dollar (USDt), then sent back to your Tether
Wallet (Charge 1$ per transaction)

Tether to POLO and vice-versa transactions takes as fast as BITCOIN transfer. Because it is using OMNI layer protocol.

Question led to answer by Tether. Since they PEGGED their USDt to USD, why there is big movement breakdown in USDt?
It should be always 1:1 (~ +/- few percentage is normal)

Thanks a lot for your kind explanation. Really helpful.

why u want to venture to BTC-e platform? its slow, ageing and price wise is expensive vs Bitfinex or POLO

open tether wallet. u can have options to buy more coins with multiple exchanges.

BTC-e only because of the cheaper price. But with your teether suggestion, I will try this route.

Bitfinex doesnt allow bank transfer for the moment.

Teether to Polo

CEX.io is offering Crypto Capital as a source of deposit and withdrawal. It is basically like you deposit with Crypto Capital and you deposit and withdraw to exchanges like cex.io and btcc.

Anybody have tried?

Also anyway else to get usd tether other tether.to?

Thanks

Previously i used Localbitcoin to buy btc

And recently i found out Luno, which is previously bitx

I wanted to buy btc from Luno

But i am not sure if they are trusted

I Am finding Luno-liked exchange where we don't trade peer2peer but instead you cash in, trade in on exchange

Is there any other similar liked and trustable exchange?
Or i can proceed with Luno

Thank you

So far I have done 4 transactions with Luno. Purchase d BTC a few month ago and was quite fast.

Last 1 week, I sold BTC 3 times and transferred back to Maybank 3 times and all was fast as per GIRO schedule.
