Hi all sifus.

Newbie here.

After reading through the threads, I've decided to take my first step into the world of coin trading.

Joined CEX.io, did all the verification and deposited $20 to see see try try first tongue.gif

Anyway, I put in an order in the trade section for a minimum of 0.1 ETH at $18 since yesterday and it seems that the order is still not yet through? hmm.gif

What am I doing wrong? sad.gif

you are buying 0.1 unit of ETH at USD18/ETH. the current price is USD183/ETH. barring any major crash, you won't be able to buy it from other sellers at trading.

Thanks for the reply bro. rclxms.gif

Do you mean that the moment when I see less than $180 in the "Price per ETH" column of Sell Orders, my order will go through?

Because I saw it went lower than $180 yesterday hmm.gif

IINM, it works like stock market.

Because your buy order is too low ($18 per ETH), the system won't be able to match your order with the seller. The system will give priority to the highest bidder in the buy order, which is $181.09680006 per ETH.

I hope I didn't confuse you even more  sad.gif

Thanks for the input bro tatty89.

I understand now.

Went to explore further and now thanks to you I learned about price-time priority principle. thumbup.gif

Hi guys. rclxm9.gif

Just started trading yesterday and made a teenee weenee profit. tongue.gif

Anyway, a curious thought crossed my mind.

I think this event is going to come (a few weeks, months, years, who knows) and I was wondering what did the stock market look like during a recession? confused.gif

How do you think a recession will affect the world of cryptocurrency? sweat.gif

What do you think, sifus? hmm.gif
