QUOTE(Dixon93 @ Jun 7 2017, 11:09 AM) coinhako is fine too, since they provide direct SG FAST bank transfer and it only takes a day to credit your account. Hi, how do you fund Gemini with SGD? But seems their rates are a bit premium compared to other exchanges. I used to use them last few months. Yep I'm using Gemini, Coinhako and Coinbase. Never hurt to have few exchanges accounts ready. do they ask you for wire transfer to their account in Silvergate? When I tried wire transfer from Malaysia TT to Gemini Silvergate account, the total charges would be estimate 25 USD, not sure is per transaction or based on how much I send. |

QUOTE(TheReaderReads @ Jun 7 2017, 11:44 AM) there seem to have somekind of problem with xfers in coinhako and coinbase To all sifu here, please correct me if im wrong, still learning. Would like to put in some of my thoughtsyou know anything about it? I can do it Deposit via local inter-bank transfer though I think most exchange has a service charge, for example if you look at coinhako ETH> USD is USD 260, ETH > SGD is SGD 383. If I exchange with local bank, USD 260 can get around SGD 355. So they are some charges when you buy or sell from these exchange. |

I did my first trading with Gemini as well, thought I would chip in some experience when dealing with wire transfer from CIMB MY to Gemini account.
What I did was as follow: 1. Went to CIMB counter, ask to do telegraphic transfer (TT) to Gemini account. 2. Request to send USD250 @ RM4.27 per USD 3. As Gemini accounts needs a intermediary bank aka "agent" to send the money in, there was charges. 4. I received USD257 in my Gemini account 5. CIMB deduct RM1210 "main" transaction, RM30 for CIMB TT service, RM1.80 GST Still figuring out their "agent" fee is per transaction or base on how much I sent. Right now I'm trying to get a china eth trading account since they just open up. |

QUOTE(TheReaderReads @ Jun 7 2017, 05:56 PM) haha! I am not sifu. I just know about cryptocurrency yesterday Yeah, Coinhako charge around 7% of the price from Ethereum current USD price. Thats the premium price. These are some hidden cost which I wish that I know earlier what u meantion, looks like a spread heard coinhako buy/sell is at a premium price u can try others like gemini and coinbase (no bank transfer and xfers isn't working) |

QUOTE(WooTz @ Jun 7 2017, 06:21 PM) You're verified with Singapore credentials right? Wouldn't that complicate things with MYR deposits and withdrawals? Yeah, won't complicate things because i wire transfer them USD. So from money in my bank already exchange to USD before sending it out.The best sales are the very promising token sales with actual product under testing and production, such as Status and TenX. Even so, it's always a good idea to trust your own judgment when putting money into such ICOs. I regret putting so little when DGD was merely $3 during their ICO (now $90), but there are opportunities to flip even with crappy value proposition today. Profit is profit, just like trading ETC. I simply just ask the bank I want USD 250 in my gemini and I absorb all the transaction charge. |

QUOTE(wengherng @ Jun 9 2017, 05:19 PM) Hey everyone, May I suggest that you can request @GoldFries to make a similar thread on hardware section and keep the new thread more to discussion on Bitcoin / Ethereum / Alt coins. Many thanks.Just want to give a short announcement here that we will be starting v3 for the cryptocurrency thread. Kmarc and myself will start it and work on it a bit (we want to start the thread properly with all the proper and useful information in the beginning). So, please do NOT visit the new thread yet, and do NOT post anything there first, until we get it up and running, OK? Meanwhile, let's continue to use this current thread still. Thank you! |
