Why don't you buy yourself? Easier that way. wink.gif

Hmmm.... monero a bit lower. Probably add a bit tonight.

Yeah, not to mention the premium of buying MYR to BTC. Now I can't seem to get a good price in localbitcoins or remitano.  vmad.gif Registered at Xbit Asia and found some BTC was already sold at comparatively lower price today but transferring MYR to Xbit takes 2 working days and liquidity is low. Bid sell price was sky high.

Also the hassle of selling bitcoins/altcoins to convert to MYR.......  sweat.gif

Yup, that's the main problem, "in Malaysia, your choices are severely limited".  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif
Luno too? So bad......  shakehead.gif

Yup, xbitasia is dead while luno has sky high prices sad.gif

Nice! Hope to see some movement on ETH and LTC.

On Poloniex, someone is lending out 175k ETH at 0.0001%!!??!! I can't even lend out my ETH. Wonder what's going on?  hmm.gif
Shucks. Looks like I have to stick to localbitcoins and remitano for now.  dry.gif

Both lbc and remitano has crap prices too... sigh

I've never used such peer to peer exchanges before, how does it work?
Do you have to transfer the money to the seller first before they transfer the coins to you?
Or does Localbitcoins function as an escrow company?
*
You initiate the trade, the seller will give you his details. Which then you will bank in the amount with a specific reference code that is provided. After that, you click payment paid and the seller would check and release the coins.

All coins will be in escrow.
Around early January to early Feb, LBC had coins at around 1-2% higher than market price... something changed and it's like 7-8% now which is ridiculous

Nice! Now the inconvenience of transferring money over, emailing them the proof and waiting 2 business days. Inconvenient!

If you email them during the day via the support button on the website, they credit pretty quickly. My experience has been less than a business day!

Interesting. Makes ETH more valuable. Ok ok let me buy some ETH..... (checks ETH prices)..... WHAT??!!??? USD 46.8!!!!! ETH always like to do that to me. mad.gif
Personally, I think it will be worth it but you need to be prepared to lose the money too if it doesn't work out.
Thx thx. Hope everybody can contribute if any other info. smile.gif
Thx. Oh, so Luno is good? I thought liquidity was a problem? Mind sharing how it works so that wengherng can update the info on Luno? In search of good prices, I might even try out Luno. See how....

Lots of sellers and buyers on luno, but at a much higher than market price. So not very attractive to me.

Anyone else frustrated that Malaysia doesn't have any reliable exchanges that do not charge a premium vs world price for Btcs?

And sellers here refuse to sell when prices drop and only sells when prices rise as well... ahem.

Gemini is by far the Michelin standard in terms of customer support, uptime and trading rates.

They offer BTC/USD, ETH/USD and ETH/BTC pairs. And virtually no limits on deposits and withdrawals for international traders.

They're so good, you can actually trust them with some of your coins permanently parked there.

Seriously, if you know someone living in SG, ask/hire them to be your proxy, it's really good.

I've heard so much great things about Gemini from eth trader but I don't know anybody with a bank account in SG. You got any plugs?

USDt is same like Paypal or Neteller in a digital form, so you exchange your FIAT dollar to digital dollar.

Tether ---> http://tether.to/

So open account with them, get verified.
Then Wire your fund into this your account here. u can open EURO, USD and YEN. MYR is not supported.

Then you can spend your USDt to many exchange

https://www.bitfinex.com/
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/
https://poloniex.com/
https://shapeshift.io/
https://www.kraken.com/

I'm using POLO as an example. They don't allow WIRE incoming, so use alternative which is USDt.
Debit your tether wallet, credit your polo USD account.

So TL;DR

CIMB/Maybank --> Tether Wallet (Wire deduction etc) --> POLO (no charges) ---> buy BTC ---> sell BTC --> get dollar (USDt), then sent back to your Tether
Wallet (Charge 1$ per transaction)

Tether to POLO and vice-versa transactions takes as fast as BITCOIN transfer. Because it is using OMNI layer protocol.

Question led to answer by Tether. Since they PEGGED their USDt to USD, why there is big movement breakdown in USDt?
It should be always 1:1 (~ +/- few percentage is normal)
*
What's the wiring fees usually?

local wire fees: depending on your bank. HSBC is usually cheaper. Public Bank charges Rm30 + FX

US side they deduct 20$ to $35 [last check, depending on the receiving bank that Tehter provide to you]

Do not cash out from Tether wallet, just transfer to POLO or whatever exchange, then buy BITCOIN ---> sell locally. its cheaper and faster, plus u may gain on BTC price movements.

U can trade arbitrage with Tether but not worth the time.

BUY cheap at POLO, sent to your Bitfinex. Liquidate there, transfer back to Wallet.

then from wallet back to POLO and repeat.

Thank you! Really appreciate it. No more ridiculous overpriced sellers.
