History lesson for the newbies, don't keep all your coins on exchanges.

Yes, definitely.
All cryptocurrency intended for long term investment must be kept in hardware wallets, end of story.
Leave only what you need to trade in the near future on the exchanges.
That said, though, I think most of the smaller altcoins are not supported by any hardware wallets.
Limited options there.
Ya, definitely hardware wallet. I'm even thinking of getting another wallet i.e ledger nano S because it supports stratis and ripple (in the future) which Trezor doesn't. Anybody interested? All cryptocurrency intended for long term investment must be kept in hardware wallets, end of story.

But that's my problem, I have so many types of coins that's sitting on the exchange doing nothing but hardware wallets don't support. Granted there are paper wallets and what not but I'm not comfortable with them.
I just hope that Trezor eventually supports some more coins but when googled, it seems they are concentrating on Trezor 2 first, before going for altcoins.

Indeed. Exciting times. I really can't wait to see what the future holds but from current observations, it looks like it will be good!!!!This post has been edited by kmarc: Apr 13 2017, 10:40 AM
