Good day gentlemen, what a fine day to check on the crypto price today.

Happy trading!

GDAX and Korea doing us a big favor by suppressing it.

Anytime before mid April is cheap.

It really is a mighty fine day today when I look at the ETH charts......even if it is raining outside my window at the moment. biggrin.gif
That said, I think I am pretty comfortable with my balance between BTC and ETH (and just a tiny bit of XMR) at the moment.
The BTC dip is starting to pique my interest again......looking cheap now, but I am thinking that if the civil war doesn't end soon, we might see even lower dips (perhaps even a crash to......if I may be so greedy......USD300 even?)
I'm holding out for crazy bargain sales here! rclxm9.gif

anyone having problem depositing into coinbox?

I transferred BTC from Remitano to Poloniex an hour ago. The transaction didn't even show up on blockchain info. Remitano told me that there are blockchain delays and asked me to wait.... sad.gif

QUOTE(goldfries @ Mar 25 2017, 01:19 PM)
Don't remember, I use that platform for trading.

Can set threshold to buy / sell.

Popular alt coins will appear there, at least that exchange has been around.

I lost a fair bit at Mt Gox before, stupid case.

Checked out the website. Not as friendly as Poloniex.

So sorry to hear that.

I'm using Poloniex and I'm getting more scare as I'm transferring more and more BTC there. However, I just got my hardware wallet and in the process of learning how to use it.

Yeah, everyday regret didn't buy more ETH. cry.gif A bit too high for me at the moment but will buy some on the rise.

Still buying BTC but mainly to convert to altcoins. Will only accumulate more BTC if prices drop.

Anyway, just got my Trezor hardware wallet yesterday! rclxms.gif rclxms.gif Currently transferring bit by bit to ensure it is working well. So far so good! My only problem now is that I don't want to transfer too much from Poloniex as I want to lend out my coins! As before, lending is fun!!! rclxm9.gif Even BTC rates are quite good now.

Eh, haven't finish the last part yet leh. Will finish it later tongue.gif

Here's a tip, when you start going down the rabbit hole, you only put in an amount you're willing to let go.

"Oh I lost RM100, oh well"

You keep doing this every week/month while tracking your cost, if the price dives, you just watch only, don't do anything, it'll always return as long as the system isn't in danger.

If it rises significantly, like say +50%, you take profit and earn back your cost. Then you resume the buying schedule.

I've been doing this since August 2015 and I've never lost anything at all, just regret didn't save more whenever I can.

Be sure to safeguard your coins, if you don't want to spend money on hardware wallets, then you need to learn how to setup a paper wallet.

Hey - did not know Goldfries was in here, I have you on my FB list.

Well Mt Gox was a big thing and even some of my banker friends lost money.
Hope you've recovered some incentives from Kraken.

You should have shown me this : https://ethereum.network/projects

I keep on scrolling and scrolling down... so many projects! Impressive! thumbup.gif

I'm updating the 2nd post, need important links for ethereum. Please provide the links if you have them. Thx.

Also found this old news : http://www.inc.com/brian-d-evans/heres-why...-on-ethere.html

Never realized how well-accepted ETH is!

Going to take a bigger bite this afternoon. icon_question.gif

Edit : Oh ya, I'm curious on what would happen if, in the unlikely event, ETH hits, say USD500 per coin. Wouldn't it make the network expensive? Or the higher the price the better it is? hmm.gif

Looks like I am missing a big opportunity here. Don't even know where to start to get some and how safe it is as my knowledge on these is zero!

Hope still got time. Which I feel is fast running out...

Take a look at first post. Some info there. wink.gif

I only entered cryptocurrencies 6 weeks ago and am already up by more than 200% overall. 200% in crypto-crazyland is nothing where people can gain 4-5 digit percentage points. The only thing is to do your own research and be prepared to lose the money if something happens. More info on the first page. smile.gif

Just that the price is high. But will likely make small steps and see where it leads me

When PoS goes live, higher market cap is good for security, tokens will be expensive for attacks and depositors reap higher rewards, gas price wouldn't be an issue as they have their separate pricing mechanisms for it.

Cool! Updated! rclxms.gif

Owh.... errmm.... don't understand the explanation in terms of why it is good for security and expensive for attacks. sweat.gif Anyway, as long as higher prices doesn't chase projects away from Ethereum, I'm ok with that. smile.gif

The cool thing about POS, just like what Vlad Zamfir said, all attacker attempts would be like burning down their ASIC farm in POW, having to top up their ETH constantly because their deposit gets burned.

Plus, even if they managed to achieve 51%, we would just hard fork away and render them altcoins.

If gas price is $0.02 at $50 ETH, it'd still be adjusted to $0.02 at $500 ETH.

So I browse through the forum and found this thread. Great to know that the community is interested in cryptocurrency.

I bought ETH last year and keep it until now only to see good return recently. Reading the thread I found that I can actually lend my coin out. So I am going to give it a try.

How is the return rate like? Is the return going to be in ETH as well?

I see. Good to know! thumbup.gif

Gosh, buying ETH at USD 50 is hard. Of course, not as painful as 1 BTC but still, the money spent to see so few coins.... cry.gif

Luckily I still enjoy to see my half million coins of Doge, which is actually moving a bit! cool2.gif

Nice to hear that.

Yup, the returns will be in the form of the coin you lent out. The return rate varies for each coin and between different coin. This is because you compete for the best rate to lend out and how high the demand for the coin is. At the moment, ETH rate is very bad, around 0.003% per day. If somebody takes up the loan, the next higher rate will be available. Some coins get good rates for a short period when demand is good.

Just yesterday, somebody requested a huge amount of loan at a rate of 2% per day! for Doge coin. I tell you, it was bliss lending it out. However, most of the loan was returned after a few hours but I still have some running at 2%.

Here's some examples of the rates I'm lending out at this moment:

ETH - 0.0017-0.0029%
XRP - 0.0098%
Maid - 0.048%
Doge - 0.0299 - 2%
Dash - 0.049 %
Clam - 0.1 - 0.974%

Do note the rates is for 24 hours and the calculation starts the minute you loan it out until the guy cancels the loan. It can be the whole tenure (usually I set to 2 days) or it can be a few minutes only!

Anyway, you just have to go to the lending tab and check out the rates for each coin. wink.gif

I'd suggest pulling it out of the exchange instead.

lending it allows more shorts, diluting your overall value way beyond your tiny rates.

Want better price stability and growth, it's better to hodl.

Very helpful reply, cheers for that rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

ETH lending rate is so low, probably due to large supply and circulation around the market. 0.003% is like 1% p.a. if successfully lending out everyday. If that's the case I then really no point doing this?

So if the guy return in a few hours then the rate is 0.003%* hours/24?
