Remember cryptos are very high-risk high-return investment. 10% for cryptos is nothing. See XBC that went up to 3000%. It can go the other way too.

Do you research, pick good coin and hold long-term!

QUOTE(wengherng @ Mar 28 2017, 06:16 PM)
No particular reason......just seeing that the recent crypto-market is so volatile, I thought perhaps it is possible to buy during a large dip and wait for the correction heading up.
But of course, this is purely speculation and gambling; it could very well go down by 80% tomorrow too.
No investment can be in the green every single day; there has to be some ups and downs.
If you micro-track it every single day, you'll be having high blood pressure pretty soon.
*
I see. My sentiments exactly! biggrin.gif However, I might go for NAV first then maybe a bit of DCR.

The problem is my BTC under loan! Loan rates for BTC is very good so far. And the loan usually taken for the full 2 days. Can get about 1% every 4 days. That USD 10 every 4 days! thumbup.gif Since ETH has such bad loan rates, it is the main coin going into cold storage.

I don't really microtrack. Just enjoying the bullrun thus far. Most days, some of my coins are in the double-digit green but today is the first day almost all unbelievably red. I think it is now in correction mode due to the anticipation of March 30 bitcoin ETF. So I guess when the ETF gets rejected, altcoins will resume their bullrun, hopefully!!!!! smile.gif

QUOTE(sirxl @ Mar 28 2017, 09:02 PM)
be careful trading them #altcoins, don't get burned.

That's what I'm thinking. The whales are pumping all those useless coins to distract. I'm thinking they want people to unload so can get cheap or they are just playing while awaiting bitcoin ETF. I'm still going for good coins!!! None of my coins are in the pump BTW ! vmad.gif

In the twitter, somebody actually recommend DCR, LSK, STRAT, RADS, LBC, SC, PASC and Nautilus. I have all except nautilus which I actually crossed out of my list. Going to take a look at it again later on.

Edit : ARrrrrggghhh!! My BTC all stuck on loan and most coins are recovering!!! bye.gif

I should have trusted my instincts......
Around 11pm last night, just before buying DCR, I had a nagging feeling that I should be going for NOBL, but I shrugged off the feeling and still went ahead with DCR.
bangwall.gif  ranting.gif  mad.gif  vmad.gif

Haha, we average people always no luck. I was actually thinking about buying some coins that has very low satoshi with no news. Just for the pump. Decided only to get SC in the end but it has potential. You wanted NOBL because it was in the red?

At least DCR also going up ma. I also bought some last night but didn't get NAV because BTC loan out. So sad.....

Anticipating a drop in BTC and will only buy BTC after ETF news.

I thought the news is out already.
SEC rejected the ETF application, basically for the same reasons as before.
But no major impact to the price of bitcoin so far.
I suppose the general public finally realised that bitcoin doesn't need an ETF after all.
*
Huh, already? I think delayed response. Just checked prices, looks like BTC going down and ETH gaining.

I think BTC dominance going to be eroded further while altcoins will benefit more. Probably a good time to load up more! biggrin.gif

Hmmm.... if we can find the next bitcoin while BTC struggles with hardforking, we will be millionaires!!!

QUOTE(wengherng @ Mar 29 2017, 12:16 PM)
F**k my life......I had a sizable stash of LBC which I figured wasn't doing anything much, and I sold them on 12th March for around 1580 satoshi.
The price of LBC just broke 6000 satoshi a few minutes ago.
I need a minute here......
mega_shok.gif
*
So sorry to hear that. LBC was struck off my list too because I thought it didn't have potential.

I'm changing strategy yet again. Yes I know BTC is the father of cryptocurrencies. Yes, I know ETH will probably be successful. However, say BTC and ETH hit 1000% increase from current prices, making BTC 10,000 per coin and ETH 500 per coin. The problem is it is expensive to accumulate these two coins at significant amount!

As such, I'm not going to concentrate on BTC or ETH anymore. For ETH, will hold just the current amount that I have. Will be channeling funds to potential altcoins. As we all know, 1000% for altcoins, esp low satoshi value ones, are a piece of cake.

The other thing to remember is to HODL!!!! Even DCR is already 500% gain for me. So far, I have only liquidated Dogecoin, my fun coin. The rest I'm HODLing and will not accept anything less than 5 digit percentage gains!!! Or more!!!

Now the question is, which altcoins to channel significant fund in, that's the million dollar question. At the moment, my funds are distributed in small amounts to all the less significant Altcoins.

I think I will have 2 forks biggrin.gif. One is to have more amounts in good altcoins, the other is just grab whatever minor coin in small amounts. Some coins will die but so be it!!!

Come, let us study very hard to find potential altcoins and share share. smile.gif

we all have moments like this, i had a huge bag of steem @5858 satoshi, I sold it right after Wink ETF denied when alts were pumped, gaining only about 20% profit. only a week later steem is trading at 30000 satoshi. I took a 24 hr break from polo, go out release some stress to shake it off.

Come, let's pool resources and become millionaire together!!! Of course, if go down, also go together. wink.gif

check out this guy trading it's pretty funny, don't know if its still viable. but it definitely has a huge luck factor involved.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4h9mbDMBoA

tldr;
randomly choose your alts. buy 0.1 btc worth of them.
set sell orders on a progressive price tier levels.
then sit back and relax
*
I guess that's one way of doing it. However, to me, the profits is because prices go up. In a bullrun, which I think we are in, better just to hold until the bull runs out!

How did you manage to become an investor? They advertise online?

Bnktothefuture, I used that to diversify into crypto companies.

Indeed, they allow you or trading bots to swap crypto without having an account, with a slight premium of course.

Speaking of which, I just found out Gemini exchange supports Singapore banks too, damn they need to advertise more.

Going to try them out now.
*
Interesting. Will check it out later although I don't do this type of investment.

Anyway, quite a boring day. Expected more response but I guess the ETF outcome was 100% expected. At least, ETF prices appears more solid than before.

Shucks, there goes NAV and nautilus. Haven't had time to research nautilus in detail yet..... sad.gif

Can google online wallet. Here's one example : https://www.myetherwallet.com/

I'm using this with my Trezor hardware wallet.

Potcoin is one of my alts. That niche and marketing gimmick is really interesting imo.
Got cannabiscoin also but potcoin won the branding. smile.gif

Hope both Cann and potcoin do well the more states/country legalize weed. biggrin.gif I heard Canada will legalize this coming July.

Haha, too much expectation. 3-digits is good enough for me! Slow and steady tongue.gif

Yippeee... typically day where I see many of my coins flying.

My picks are based on simple criteria:
- website looks good - you can feel the effort of having a proper site
- concept/selling point is clear and easy to understand (im not a tech person)
- at least they show the devs/team face & profile

Potcoin - buy pots with potcoin. Very simple
Digibyte - gaming. Good niche market also
Qora - simply bcse its new.
Siacoin - storj too exp. biggrin.gif
Noblecoin - sort of multicurrency wallet - i think few lightweigt btc wallet can do this eg.
Mobi. But i still think worth to invest.

Next one maybe musicoin. Again easy to understand concept and clear target market.
LBC is okay, but Im not sure whats the difference with existing content sharing platform. Maybe i shld read more abt it.

I feel like an angel investor/venture capitalist biggrin.gif
I may be wrong but i'll try to make it simple: if Google, Facebook, Uber come up with their own coin, and the only way to login to your account is by spending their coins, will I buy/invest? I say yes, then i'll look for coin concept with the same value proposition. Direct use case + clear targeted market.

This is actually pretty fun.
*
I see. I actually just crossed out Qora from my list a few hours ago. Noblecoin long time ago. Digibyte huh? Will take a look later.

Proof of Stake. Buy a bunch of NAV coins, leave it on a full node wallet (they have 2 types) and your PC/laptop needs to be running 24/7. Alternatively, get a VPS but I won't recommend it as your private keys are visible.
*
I see. Still a lot to learn. Navcoin still needs GPU/CPU power right? What's the best CPU or GPU to stake? The Nav Pi stake box? hmm.gif Any link to explain this as google doesn't really help. Need a Navcoin POS for dummies guide..... smile.gif I'm interested to know how we actually go about staking and what type of rig will be good/cost-effective.
