Use K3-VET engine with your current advanza gearbox is no issues with some modification. Install the aftermarket intercooler as well. If manual gearbox, doing modification the clutch and cover as well with bigger size. Change the rim size to 16 inch with michellin ps4 tires, better handling with aftermarket shock absober and installed with rear stabilizer. Still nice and steady cornering in high speed even over 160km/h.

NA engine or course no power la! even you put 2.0L also under powered in an advanza. That's why I change whole engine to turbocharged one! Liqui Moly is a good motor oil, I use for all my gasoline & diesel engines, K3-VET is a turbo engine usually comes from half cut car imported from japan, to install in a avanza is not an issue, just take the engine, wiring and ecu and transplant in advanza, mine advanza is manual version & secondhand 12 years car brought from friend cash RM20K, install front custom intercooler, upgrade the stock turbo to TD05 and set the boost up to 1.4 bar, at dyno reading, 210 Nm torque quite satisfied, I pump shell/ petron Ron95, no power loss or engine knock issue, super easily to overtake any car even in uphill, K3-VET engine give me satisfied performance in my advanza while good fuel economy. The costs for an upgrade around RM10-11K included puspakom and JPJ endorsement.

All my vehicles included kancil, avanza and others must have turbo, no turbo = no drive, underpowered and fuel guzzler because need pedal to max all time to achieve power, especially starting and hill climb. My spring is standard, but change aftermarket shock, here in Sabah lowered vehicle not suit my daily use, BTW, this MPV only can seat up max 4 passengers include driver, the rear end I use to transports goods and documents. smile.gif

Ya, Liqui Moly is a good motor oil but for me no different. Ron95 vs Ron 97, Ron95 i can feel power. Semi Syn vs Fully Syn, the feeling is totally same. Not like last time my original engine I use fully syn + ron97 can easily press the pedal to achieve 140kmh with low engine sound.

Price range in Sabah just a bit expensive for the parts and k3-vet engine costs, but a bit cheaper in labour costs, so over all price gap just minimal. I use semi syn liqui moly and next oil change for every 10k kilometer, I use petron Ron95 and no feel power loss because my k3-vet just upgraded bigger TD05 turbo boost at 1.4 bar. Ron97 just bit better in acceleration and smooth engine sound, other benefit is cleaner euro 4m but hell expensive in selling price. Performance is huge between stock engine. No complain & just statisfied for this upgrade.

No, first gen model 2007, cheapest model with K3-VE NA engine + 1.3L manual transmission version, brought second hand from friend very cheap (engine kong), just transplant 1.3L K3-VET turbocharged engine. Just wanna a turbocharged MPV base on RWD drive train while low cost ownership + modification. Buy brand new advanza not available any version comes with turbocharged engine from factory, BTW NA 1.5L too under powered. maybe my demand torque a little bit high, because all way long "biasa" drive hilux vnt, ranger 2.2L & hino300, all had upgraded with unichip. sad.gif
