Hi All,

I am creating this topic to share any good or bad feedbacks on the usage of RHB TradeSmart.
I am kinda new to this platform, hopefully can learn more on how to make use of this platform.
We also can discuss how much is the broker fee.
For cash upfront account is 0.1% for buy and 0.42% for sell transaction, and 0.42% for normal account for both buy/sell transactions.
Minimum is RM 12 per transaction.
Your sharing is much appreciated.

Thank you.

My account with OSK was INACTIVE for many years. Today I request for re-activation & was ask to go personally to sign some forms.

Will also request for online trading too. You should speak to your remisier regarding the RM28 brokerage fee.

With that transaction, should not charge that high minimum brokerage fee of 28 per transaction. Please talk to your remisier.

My original A/C from OSK ported to RHB Investment still at RM28 or 0.42%, whichever is higher. So I opened a new cash-upfront A/C (with same CDS) & brokerage fee is 0.1% (for BUY only) & 0.42% (for SELL) with minumum still at RM28. However my remisier submitted for me a request for reduction to min. RM12 & was approved the following day.

Quite a substantial saving for BUY from 0.42% to 0.1% !!

Well done. From 28 to 12 minimum is good, 0.42% to 0.1% is great.

Does this platform provide the stop-loss function for the local share trading? I've gone though a lot brokers but not even one provide this.

Nope. The old RHB Invest had it. Now tradesmart yet to implement.

call your dealer/remisier. Tradesmart doesn't provide option to withdraw fund via its platform.

anyone has experience trading usa or hk stock via rhb tradesmart ? i notice the fees and exchange rate (myr to usd) is slightly more expensive compared to cimb itrade (assuming only comparing these two broker) . Besides this , any problems encountered with tradesmart? And let say after buy the usa stock n sold it , rhb tradesmart will auto convert the usd back to myr at the prevailing rate or we get to choose which currency we want to hold at that time ? for example if usd/myr is 4.4 when i bought the stock then when i sold the stock its 4.2 ...can i choose to keep usd and only convert it back to myr when the rate is betteR? thanks..

can't comment much with regards to the difference in exchange rate between rhb and cimb..

but for holding USD after u sell ur US shares, yes that is perfectly do-able.. they have a facility for it where u can hold foreign currencies.. so when u sell ur foreign shares, it will maintain in that currencies until u inform ur remisier/dealer to convert it back into MYR

Hey just trying my luck here. Would like to know, if I place conditional order on RHB tradesmart, does it use up my trading limit even if the condition is not met?
