Hey guys. Been surveying a lot for a new 65 inch 4K TV and was fixed on Samsung's 65KU6000 and Sony's 65K7500D. Howeverrrrr... Then I found this TV:

http://www.11street.my/productdetail/haier...5b8200-15094282

It's a 65 inch 4K TV from Haier for only RM3100. That's cheap! The catch? No HDR or smart TV functionality. I dont mind not having these features as I read HDR is only worthwhile if your panel can do more than 500 nits of brightness and I have the new Chromecast Ultra. I'm pretty keen to get it at this price since its cheap and my small 40'' 1080p Haier LED TV at home is pretty decent but I can't help but wonder if the picture quality is comparable to Samsung and Sony's.

Anybody has any experience with this model yet?

As you should be. But so far my 40'' Haier TV seems to be running well. Decent PQ too.

Hi all, sorry for the late reply as my scedule quite busy lately. I have 2 unit Haier B8200 series tv, 49" & 65". 65 for my house, 49 for my parent at hometown. I believe 55" also share the same panel and quality. Below are the summarize:

Pro's:
- Chepest basic 4K 49" 55" 65" tv in the market
- 4 HDMI port
- Suitable to pair with TV box as not a smart tv, PS4 pro and if you already have a soundbar.
- Natural picture quality after some adjustment
( If you like natural picture quality you can buy this tv and follow my picture setting, but if you like picture quality like samsung amoled display phone that have deep black level & rich colour please forget this tv )
- 1080p & 720p content can see more detail & nicer with 65" from distance. ( Display size advantage )

Con's
- Very bad speaker, phone speaker sound even better. ( seriously you need a soundbar for this TV )
- Bad black level ( can see from my sample but from camera it look more bad )
- Bad default picture setting even 'Standard' setting has been selected, (over contrast & sharpness )
- No Digital audio output (only 3.5mm audio jack )

Effy92 Thanks for sharing your impressions on this tv.
Not a tv I would consider for myself but for the super cheap price, can't really expect too much

Yes if screen size can satisfy you, but if you want deep black and hdr this tv not for you. For 3k budget can get 65" 4k already, other brand only can get 55" with 3k budget.

Thanks for your feedback Effy92, I'll look for display set to check the black level myself.
