Guys taken from a post:

And when it comes to specific trading issues and failure, the points below account for the majority of problems traders deal with on a daily basis:
- Not letting winners run
- Not taking profits
- Cutting losses too late
- Taking bad trades
- Taking random trades outside of the rules
- Missing good trades (because of fear or a bad routine)
- Over-leveraging (taking too much risk)
- Under-leveraging (not taking enough risk / inconsistent position sizing)
- Chasing price/trades
- Pushing the account growth too fast
- System hopping
- Constant system changes
- Not having a system in the first place (lack of seriousness)
- Flight or fight

For the bolded part, how do you guys normally determine your risk? Like how do i know i'm not taking enough risk?

Hello, yes. today I can see what you're saying the other day.

Can this be applied if we're looking at the 1min chart instead?

and also thanks alot for your generosity in sharing of knowledge.

our stock volume very hard to gauge by 1min chart, probably 15/30mins chart is better.

Normally i will look at daily/weekly for better view.

Caution is required when using the 1 min chart.
It's has far too much noise embedded and it might not be suitable for traders trading on a much longer time frame.

for eg. if your trading longer term, say 3-4 months, your trading position could be hurt if you use the min chart dictate your position. A wild short swing could easily persuade you to exit a relatively good trade.

Kossan announced 130m profit. Seems like within most analysts estimate.

I wasn't bruffing about Kossan.

Not in my sector list and I have not open their QR report b4. sweat.gif sweat.gif

Therefor , I wouldn't know what to say about Kossan. laugh.gif

if 'within' ... means not good enough lo...

my view still remains...

for the glove market to rekindle its sexy story...
big, big earning is required (no thanks to them for setting the bar so freaking high)

and yea

within expectations means no big news.... laugh.gif
They already expected such numbers.....

I think many kossan buyers feel the profit is underwhelming

For supermax qoq the jump is from 71m to 399m

For kossan is 64m to 131m

So normally would be a great result but overshadowed by superman

it is.

while it at best exceeds expectation a little bit, it has no wow.

still, kossan is much less speculative compared to others.

i think it will hold well at rm15-16 level with the bonus thing on.

gloves have been extremely volatile last 2 days, incl today.

weak hearts get slaughtered...

superman's story continues to get attention!! laugh.gif

What I liked about it ... was what was written in the notes.... company operated at only half capacity but yet delivered pretty good numbers....
and the b/s looks good too.

and the charts... I noted ... or imo ... the chart was actually have a decent uptrend .... it consolidated in Feb after the earnings (perhaps the market was expecting much more) ..... but then C19 March correction hit ..... which brought the stock tumbling down.... if I was aware of the stock... I would have gone in big on this fella.

AHA !

Surprisingly I have this stock with similar time frame in my buku latihan.

Looking back at the record, I cashed out here :

Hence somehow missed the subsequent rally.

Hahaha.... TQ!

However, it's my preference not to use indicators. wink.gif

Anyway, technically the chart showed the railway track...
and technically, like in all breakout and breakdown, the trader should have waited for the breakout action, which DID not happen.

Time to mark this out as a loss at 7.42.

1. Although it's a paper trade, I shall strike the trade out at 7.42. A loss of 8 sen.

2.The whole idea apparently was enter the stock and profit from the interim dividend. Sell the stock b4 the stock goes EX.

and as personally witnessed in other stocks, such plays are risky. And in the supposedly most safest dividend play stock, this play failed.

3. The whole idea for the trade is just wrong and it would be even more wrong for me to start looking for a reason and turn the trade into an investment. Yup, although it's a fake, I cannot and will not cheat myself. Pointless ya.. Man up. Own up to the bad trade.

4. Habis cerita.
