I got this really banged up guitar from my cousin. It's a Washburn Lyon Grover Jackson Edition. Really gross condition...sticky sticker marks on the body, input jack doesn't work, frets worn, pickup selector doesn't work, a lot of scratches and dings, etc. Any idea money would it take to bring this guitar back to life? and should i bring it to a luthier or do the job myself?
i'll post some pics if you guys wanna check it out. Thanks in advance thumbup.gif

the sticker marks - easy to get rid of, try zippo fluid.
input jack and selector - if you know electronics can fix yourself, else RM30-100 if it needs replacing.
frets - dream on about doing it yourself, so RM250-500 depending how good you want it.

Best bet, send it to a guitar shop (or reputable luthier) for a full setup and servicing. Since there's so much work to be done, it's much easier to just pay the guy and let him worry about it!

but that depends on how much the guitar is worth. the rest could be fixed urself, but the refretting might make u think twice whether its worth to save the guitar
