We are thinking of having separate firmware builds for those who want that feature (only for this special bulk though keke, international builds won't have those customization)
The DAC Line Out will only be signified by the RED led blinking three times (as per default) upon reaching line out level (0 dB), this is because due to the filters taking up all the static LED display.
The DAC by default settings runs at a very low setting. If you want the default to be always at 50%, from our experience, if your earphones always needs to run at 80%, you'll spend a lot of time fiddling it again to the volume you desire, plus you will also lose ability to save your volume settings. The UD125 auto saves your volumes so that the next time it boots you go right back to where you were.
Unfortunately the static led (RED BLUE PURPLE) has all been taken up by the filter display. Using the static LED for other purposes means you won't be able to tell what filter you're currently on.
OR perhaps you would prefer the reverse? i.e. using blink led to display the filter setting.
How many color available other than red, blue and purple?
If the led is capable of showing more colors, then I would prefer the static led to show volume and different color blinking for filter rolling.
I think Volume indicator is more important as people might have headphones with different sensitivity,
the led could show current volume to the user, allowing them lowering the volume before put up their headphone which could help prevent ear blowing or headphone blowing. As we might forget to lower the volume to the safe level from the previous listening session.
