1. The issue is obviously about Holmes 2 / Razakmas 2. Football field, Bandar Tun Razak...
2. Somehow surprisingly this project didn't show up in the 64 dbkl controversial land deals.
*
Neither did Maxim's The Address Phase 1 & 2. Unless this is due to the fact that the transaction is between TNB and the former (as they are TNB reserve land), then not much point to put it in the list. Wonder if this'll be Lim Lip Eng's next target? TNB? tongue.gif

About that football field, yeah, I remember passing by there a year ago and saw no hoarding, until I drove back there last week to visit their pasar malam nearby. Mana tau I saw what used to be a football field is now hoarded up and construction dy started there. What a pity.

It is not in the list might it be due to the land title has yet to be transferred to AK?  hmm.gif
*
Well, you can say that Pakatan is living up to their pledge to investigate DBKL and whichever party benefited from these dubious land deals. I do recall that there are protests by the residents last year together with YB Teresa Kok when the now ex-football field was turned into this project as reported here sometime last year with the official media article links.

I wonder if those speedy approvals for Rumahwips are done in order to get the buyers to vote for BN before GE14? hmm.gif

come on la, don't wayang2 around. this is msia, cash is king, can settle everything. help concept always apply here. sumore 1.2m donated to rtm1, dare not giving face ka?
*
You want to encourage Pakatan to accept corruption? devil.gif

Sponsoring a social event such as the World Cup is one thing, but it doesn't get them off the hook. At best, they'll get a lenient sentence should they be found guilty.

don't over optimistic, when time comes, corruption will comes as well.

Well, they've got 5 years to prove otherwise, or succumb to it. laugh.gif

Not to say I'm overly optimistic or whatever. Let Pakatan prove themselves by their action if they're willing to walk the talk or not.

I wonder why always link AK with world cup?

I am asking this because when I booked AK property. I was given the calander "golal of 2018" AK road to russia calander.  This is before GE14 result.

They mentioned they will sponsor world cup coverage was before the GE14 from the calander.
*
Ever since YB Lim came up with the 64 land plot expose, a few members here highlighted the world cup coverage sponsor aspect and wondered if AK will be off the hook.

I have repeatedly said that the courts will only be lenient with them if they happen to end up guilty together with the DBKL officers who are involved. I also mentioned that Pakatan will be seen as corrupt if they were to interfere in the case to get AK absolved and I'm sure that is the last thing that'll cross their minds.

your review is correct...

and the padang bola actually already replace at beside Masjid...

now is just the grey timing after changed gov only...
all new MPs want to show they work, sensitive abit... just wait some times...
*
That may be true, but someone posted a FMT news link from last year where the residents nearby complained that replacement football field was charging a higher fee compared to the ex-football field that is now this project.

They could've just negotiated with DBKL to lower the fee, but so far I did not come across an article of them doing so.

Since the govt of the day is Pakatan, they can get their MP to pressure DBKL to lower it? hmm.gif

new government also corrupted .

same same

Only Najis stupid, Mahathirrrr eat smartly

Making and sticking by a decision is considered corruption?

So which scenario is better? Cancel the project outright and risk getting sued by both the developer and the buyers, thus having use taxpayers' money to settle it, or just let it proceed and negotiate with the developer on a replacement football field (or other CSR initiatives)?

Not surprised why both the mayor and Khalid Samad chose the latter option.

Negotiate on developer paying higher revalue land premium? Pay back DO? Readjust the density/plot ratio?

We all still dont know. Old vs New government fighting and buyers suffer in between.

Hope new buyer avoid this until resolve.
*
I do agree that new buyers should avoid it for the time being, and it sucks for the current buyers to be stuck in the tussle between DBKL and AK. I'm sure both will come to a proper solution to avoid getting drawn into lawsuits and dig into taxpayers money to compensate both AK and the buyers of this project. Since the mayor dy identified a suitable plot for the football field, that solved one part of the problem dy. Now just wait and see on the outcome of the discussion.

Of course the folks there are none too pleased as mentioned in the above article, but better to be unhappy now, then later when their assessment rates go up to cover the costs to compensate both AK and the buyers as a result of the DBKL/FT cancelling this project outright (Batu Caves Condo - What they're not telling you).

So the latest news said that the government will get AK to pay for the new football field... Shouldn't they be punished them for corruption already?
*
Unless the investigation is still ongoing, I don't think Pakatan can do much as of this time. hmm.gif

Maybe for now, just slap them with the requirements to build a replacement football field.

So what's so wrong with cemetery view? Dead people do not disturb you, it is the living who gives you all sorts of problems in your life.
tongue.gif
*
Well, nobody wants to be reminded of their mortality. Also, it isn't a nice feeling to see the 'valley of the dead' right from your living room/bedroom. tongue.gif

But jokes aside, in the case of cemeteries, I'd prefer facing a Muslim cemetery as they tend to be smaller and not sprawling compared to Chinese/Christian cemeteries. Robson Heights comes to mind for its north-facing view which gives you a good view of KL city and the Kwong Tong cemetery beneath it.

I think Muslim also prefer facing cemetary to remind them about death and to pray hard before they die
*
I did a quick search and did not come across any such articles where they like to face cemeteries.

It just boils down to personal preference. Some mind, some do not. But you also have to factor in that when the time comes to sell the unit, the owner may have a hard time to get another buyer or sell it at a higher price because of this.

Can future occupiers sleep soundly knowing that there are such gangsterism hatred towards this project? Don't think the developer can please these gangsters by "sponsoring" another football field...
*
Here I am thinking that the 'Save Taman Desa' folks were bad enough when it comes to new projects around the Taman Desa area. This kind of behaviour from folks like these is the reason they don't deserve a shred of respect from me.
