QUOTE(noobandroid @ Mar 3 2017, 08:13 PM) QUOTE(soonwai @ Mar 3 2017, 08:35 PM) Only been on 3 websites so far, lowyat, mikrotik, facebook. All OK. IP 118.100 Which area? Is your IP changing every few mins? Maybe the PPPoE access concentrator (AC) got problem. You may see your PPPoE disconnecting and reconnecting every few mins. Like what happened to midvalley/bangsar a few days ago. My AC is BSRBGI02, I think that's Bangi. Was facing issues for 2-3 hour just now. Download speed 0.xx and upload around 10.xx . Now back to normal speed but still a bit unstable. On 50mbps.This post has been edited by SilentForever: Mar 4 2017, 12:11 AM |

QUOTE(mztang52 @ Mar 8 2017, 09:59 PM) You can visit this website www.tm.com.my/#/explore Not found if I press get it now, I thought dns issue last time when using default dns, now google dns still same. GGAfter you filled in your address, it will show you the packages that are available at your place. If it shows you the 50Mbps package, then u can ask TM to upgrade you to 50Mbps. |

QUOTE(holymushroom @ Mar 12 2017, 10:26 AM) This is my best speed test after the tm surprise upgrade. I am using dir850 by the way. Can this router fully support 50mbps? Try wired for more accurate result. But judging by the speedtest here it is normal. Lan speedtest dl should be at least 45 and ul should be at least 18. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Mar 14 2017, 01:39 PM) Generally speaking and in ideal situations, no. But under certain circumstances, it makes a marked difference. Speedtests below shows the difference between 2.4 & 5GHz in a rather congested wifi environment. It would have made a difference even if you're on VIP20. Will there be a time until 5Ghz also congested. ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(nikrizal @ Mar 17 2017, 03:56 PM) To my surprise, recently acquired Archer C1200 performs really well beyond my expectations. Even 5Ghz channel penetrates well to my extended kitchen on ground floor though the router is located on the 1st floor, and there are multiple concrete walls and floors in between. Lucky, my archer c5 last time change from 4332 is okay but the 2.4 is utterly useless. Keeps dropping for no reason. Sometimes cannot even detect. Still under warranty and I could ask for a change but need to pay rm53 again. Last time pay twice because the first c5 is faulty.Should I say more for the 2.4Ghz? |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Apr 6 2017, 06:38 PM) Depends on your criteria. All 3 can route 100mbps. My favourite is the RGX4400. The DIR-850L is my least favourite mainly due to the damn slow webgui. The Archer C5, I haven't used much yet. Note that I don't use any of them at home but at coffee shops so I can't say much about the wifi performance in a home setting. I guess giving out C5 is those installers that have old stock. Basically C1200 is an updated version of the C5 so tp link should already be fazing out the C5. |

QUOTE(crackedbox @ Apr 26 2017, 04:59 PM) Depending, if router still under warranty (below 1 year) they will replace it if faulty. Otherwise, u can opt to renew contract 12 months and they replace the router free of charge. What if the router is still under warranty and I wanna change to a new one because the 2.4Ghz is f****d up. And what are your thoughts on C5 V2 vs C1200 ? I have C5 V2 and sometimes it is just unstable on the 2.4Ghz. Can I possibly asked for C7 ?This post has been edited by SilentForever: Apr 26 2017, 07:05 PM |
