If only Dlink Dir-850L uses antennas instead of integrating it into weird cylinder chassis.......then its wireless VLAN tagging would be sought after by most users

How bad is that thing?

I have the retail version of the DIR-850L and the performance is fine. 5Ghz is average though. hmm.gif

Well, not all antennas are long and pointy. I think the DIR-850L is just too low transmit power, inadequate sensitivity or bad design somewhere.

This is from Ruckus R710. I will put a Ruckus in my home any time but that's overkill. laugh.gif

The performance will destroy any home router. brows.gif

Distance limitation.
My house A, neighbour (5 house blocks away) wanna share unifi connection. DIR-850L 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz can't even reach there.
My solution --> Plug my spare D-Link DSL2750U to the DIR-850L and he was able to receive signal through DSL2750U
Too bad he moved to KL......no more bill sharing. sweat.gif

I have never subscribed to Astro before, so HyppTv is the best I have. A few channels are enough for me.

Same here, Astro, never have, never will. Between Youtube, iTunes, iFlix, HyppTV and all the movies on Google, more than enough for me.

Do you guys know how to watch YouTube channels on hypptv?

I never tried the C5 but the AC68U is better than most mid range routers.

Is there a point in setting up HyppTV?

Technician finally came to install and they asked me if i want them to set up HyppTV. Waiting for them to come back later on to finish installation and tell them if I want to set up HyppTV.

I only got the basic hypptv package and my house no TV, they can use my monitor to set it up and I can watch using my monitor. But I question whether I will even bother with hypptv, when I can just stream iflix or anything else on youtube or other channels.

Think it's worth skipping hypptv set up?

I think you can just skip it. I got it installed and didn't even switch on for the past 5 years.
