joining the sg workforce in couple of month. Hopefully able to get EP pass as now all boils down to it.

if anyone work around queensway/queenstown, any recommendation or suggestion to stay for a month or so before settle to long term accomodation. Dont have any expat package, need to fork out own expenses for relocation(find place, paperwork company handles it), is 2k (1+1) enough?

cove pretty much all booked out. Is FB listing trustworthy?

been trying from time to time, only succeeded on iv invitation through headhunter. iv through self submit application, always hanging after 2nd iv.

Got the same role as current job here in MY, Sr level. semi con field.

How do u define it as reputable? Their job description/role/company match during iv with their client and their e-mail when they approach me.

Didnt get expat package, basic salary with clinic claim.they handle all the pass or related document. But the pay is SGD to MYR is slightly above 1:1.3 ratio. Once absorb by the client, pckge will revise.

Oh, those kind of headhunter. Yea, did come across a few but mostly in MY. Most offer from headhunter for SG are through LinkedIn. So able to do background check on the company.

Hi guys, just to share my experience working over in Sg.

EP approve in mid august this year, less than 2week to get EP after accept the role.

Lodge in backpackers place for 30 days as i get around 900 SGD. Ample time to hunt for room/place to rent.

Print out IPA letter and request company letter acknowledge your role and place of stay. If you rent hdb/resident unit, dont need this.

Fill in e-arrival card within 3days of arrival date. Download ICA Mobile app easier.

Once arrive, tell your employer u arrived and you will receive notification letter which superseded your arrival letter. I got the e-mail within couple of hours.Make appointment with MOM from their given link in letter for card,thumbprint and pic.

Buy EZ-Link card at MRT station. Taxi so far i only use comfort Delco app. Grab can also iinm.

Travel back hometown(KL)
Ticket bus i buy from redbus/Easybook but preferably travel with aeroliner..Hahah . Trip.com app provide good price on flight.

Open bank account.
-DBS preferred. Easy and alot of epayment can be use. Use company letter i mention before as proof of resident if u stay in hostel/hotel.
-existing maybank in MY can open SG account but need to maintain 1000sgd to avoid 2$ charge.

Depends where u work at. I stayed in Runsack, bought through trip.com. Early book should give better price, 30days can get +-1k sgd range.


Check HR employer if they have panel clinic in SG or MY,better to confirm and get it done before arriving SG. Depending on what kind of check, you may get the result same day or in few days.
