QUOTE(userguy @ Apr 26 2017, 04:19 PM) For those who are filing for income tax in MY, do you submit as Resident (e-BE) or Non-Resident (e-M)? I heard if you are working in SG, you need to submit as Non-Resident (e-M), is this correct? i duno about the correct form to submit but i submit e-BE and stated zero income.

QUOTE(Taesica @ Jun 13 2017, 11:27 AM) For your info, I am a fresh graduate from Malaysia in IT field and got my EP for my first job in Singapore. The company used my Diploma certificate to apply for the EP as my Degree certificate will only be release in August. you must be a high potential talent there, or high luck.

QUOTE(55665566 @ Aug 22 2017, 09:00 AM) Need recommendation here. Currently single, 24y/o and working as an Engineer with rm2.7k in Sarawak. A MNC company in SG offer me S$3.4k. Is it worth I accept the offer? imo, i would say yes, even job scope isnt what i truly want. you are still young. and the pay is increase too in dollar by dollar. Try to work for a year and see how thing goes. but well, its just my opinion.

Just some information sharing after i went through PR form submission this morning.
1. Certificate in Malay Rumors say that certificate in Malay will not posses any problem since Singaporean know Malay as well. My Diploma and Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) membership cert are in Malay and the Malay officer asked do i have cert of both in english version. Of course i dont have since rumors say that Malay translation is not needed. But she choose to reject my BEM membership and said that only accept cert in english.
Luckily she didnt reject my Diploma cert, i guess that education cert in Malay is acceptable but others must be in english. Just hope that the absence of BEM membership has tiny effect in my PR application.
2. For those who is married and registered in Malaysia, the marriage cert number should be fill in based on the alphanumeric at top right corner, instead of numbers at middle left.
Sekian.

QUOTE(kribrigdefoo @ Feb 8 2018, 06:56 PM) How bad is Singapore + johor custom on Saturday morning? idk about tuas checkpoint but assume that you reach woodlands checkpoint at 7am, with normal traffic/crowd condition you can clear msia custom around 8am. While during pre-festive season you may clear custom around 9am.

QUOTE(hensky @ Mar 8 2018, 01:07 PM) time to do tax filing. Can the life insurance policy bought in Malaysia used for the relief? yes you can, provided that the insurance company have branch in singapore. relief only applicable on premium paid on life insurance. in my case, i bought a GE insurance consists of life and medical so those premium paid on life can only eligible for relief. you have to ask your agent to provide you the statement of premium paid on Y2017 for tax filling purpose.

QUOTE(K1d0 @ Jul 10 2018, 11:01 PM) Yeap agree, just have to find a day to go renew in Malaysia. By the way, do we need to translate birth cert for PR application? I get mix comment from my friends as some of them did translation but some did not, so kinda confuse on this. for my case, i didn't translate my birth cert from BM to English and i get my PR approval recently. more info at https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=86341317

hey guys, need some clarification here about converting driving license after getting PR. From Singapore Police Force Website , it said that "New Singapore citizens and PRs must convert their foreign driving licences within 3 months of obtaining citizenship or PR status." my understanding to this statement is that if i dont convert my msia license to sg license within this 3 months grace period, i couldnt convert anymore in the future. am i correct?

QUOTE(aLertz @ Aug 2 2018, 10:06 AM) well i manage to convert 2 years after i got my PR....so...i think it's not that strict... but better convert asap if really want as there are rumors of requiring to take practical also for conversion in the future (currently only need to take the theory test if u already have a msian license) thanks on your feedback. i think i will just convert it now in case practical test is required in future.

QUOTE(rookie93 @ Aug 4 2018, 12:37 PM) Is there anyway to convert and still hold both sg and msia driving license? from what i studied, msia driving license will deactivated once you extract info from JPJ an get sg driving license. rumor has that ur msia driving license will be blacklisted once you choose to extract at JB JPJ, to de-blacklist you have to pay agent some fees. as far as i know this only happen to JB JPJ but not other JPJ. correct me if im wrong.

QUOTE(prikachin @ Dec 16 2018, 10:53 PM) Hi, when filling form 4 for PR application: 1) let's say i studied at nottingham malaysia campus (semenyih). so, for the place of institution, do i write UK or Malaysia? cause nottingham is a UK uni 2) under the education record section, do I only need to fill in tertiary (University) education only, or I also need to include my secondary school details? 3) as i mention in earlier post, ive register BEM (Board of Engineering Malaysia) before coming to SG. But then, under the Professional society/club section, do i need to include my BEM details? *I don think BEM would be accepted in SG, and hence I don plan to submit my BEM cert too* Thanks 3) Officer reject my BEM cert when i apply for PR previously because its in Malay. nonetheless i still get my PR approved w/o BEM cert. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=86341317
