normally large MNCs would have office in Msia and Sg. Would the 2 countries have a lot of work culture different? Stress? What stress? :/

As in more competitive & if it's a norm of working late to get things done. I'm trying to compare a culture within the same company in general

My experience working in the same company in both countries, no difference at all
That culture you mean is more about expectations - that should be set by your manager so it's not going to be impacted by where you're located at

Hi guys, can share what's your SPR application approval / rejection stories?
I've just applied for me and family (spouse, a daughter and a baby boy) after being in my job for 6 months (EP), annual salary around 120k.

Hearing mixed stories of success and rejections despite being msian chinese..

Since is the entire family, might want to give it more time before deciding to root in SG.

For those who have worked in large MNCs in Malaysia and then moved to Singapore, how different is the working culture and the people in general? More stress & competition?
*
Previous co:
KL
400-500 employees
Hybrid - 3 days WFH
Flexibility
Open office concept

Current co:
SG
~30 employees
Fully on site - 5 days per week
Fixed own desk
Breakfast provided every morning

So far loving it so far my experience here except the part I contracted covid my first week reporting 🥲

Stress level and competition wise, so far not feeling anything different. My personal advice would be, if we are new, just unlearn and learn new things. Things we know how to do well, be confident and yet try to be decent and humble a lil bit. Things we don’t know, we admit and improvise ourselves, learning from others who do.

Stress? Hmm from my prev experience, no one takes us more seriously than ourselves. If anything, we are our own worst critic. If we get constructive feedback, we can try to lower down ego abit and take any lesson we deem fit. Else, we move on and live 🤞🏼

AKA, don't think just because you have done this before, you are smarter than others. Shove your knowledge to a corner. Observe and learn how things are being done over there. Every company/country does the same thing a bit differently.

Why don't you ask what's the success rate in landing a job?

You already assume you will be shortlisted

I'm not in HR, but not aware of any such average time
It depends on how urgent the hire is. Those urgent will be within a few days

If you're an applicant, don't bother about things like that
Just submit and move on

How do u define it as reputable? Their job description/role/company match during iv with their client and their e-mail when they approach me.

Didnt get expat package, basic salary with clinic claim.they handle all the pass or related document. But the pay is SGD to MYR is slightly above 1:1.3 ratio. Once absorb by the client, pckge will revise.
