Moving to Singapore soon but would like to activate roaming for my current number for at least a mth or two ... what is the cheapest way apart from the daily roaming rate
i am using maxis. |

i'm thinking to jump company after 2 months, is there any consequence? aside from 15% income tax. i'm on employment pass, this is my first job in sg, if it matters

Just use for maybank TAC, can receive call as normali am using maxis. |

Hi guys I have a friend who is gonna start working in Sg this October and since its near year end, am I correct to assume she will be charged 15% because of 183 days rule ?)

No, she will be considered as tax resident if she works continuous period of at least 183 days straddling two years. Mean if she resigns before April then she has to pay 15% tax. |

I have a few concerns and I hope some kind soul might enlighten me
1) It has been a week plus waiting for my work pass to be approved. May I know is it usually taking this long or it isn't normal? Cause I heard usually 5 days already approved by MOM. 2) May I know if I buy a sim card in singapore, is it better to use a work permit or a Malaysian passport to buy? 3) Just in case I need a secondary phone, cause im lazy to backup some stuff in my malaysian phone, can anyone recommend me any 2nd shop phone dealer in singapore? |

If postpaid, just check in mymaxis or at maxis counter that its enabled. Beware of Maxis OneWorld. one wrong move and you'll be charged RM36 a day.
