Thank you! wink.gif Planning to buy a hdb in a 10 year time

hope you are successful. for best rental yield i think its 2 room or 3 room apartments.

if for own stay, try to get jumbo hdb or maissonettes. those are gorgeous when renovated.

SGD4k living in SG + married with 1 baby .. is it ok?  hmm.gif
ok yes i know SGD4k convert to MYR im getting more compared with current pay but is not that low? i dont want to get underpay and got cheated

here in Malaysia my colleagues from India or Philippines also getting RM4k+ for just 3 years experience some getting 6k for 5 years+ experience ... no much different with local malaysian .... we are too kind with expat?  shakehead.gif
*
4k with a baby is gonna be really really tough. With 4k I think you will have no savings whatsoever, and on top of that, you don't have a car which hugely affects your QoL.

And your baby will be foreigner (at least 3-5 years before you get to get citizenship benefits if you plan to convert).
As a foreigner, baby immunisation here is about 140 per jab, and then on top of that, all the baby supplies is also more expensive.

See doctor if baby sick at night etc means taxi/uber/grab which is expensive, and visiting doctor at night got surcharge one. (also not everywhere got 24 hour doc).

If you were single I might consider, but with baby i say no.

i personally consider expat is ppl who get housing allowance. anyone who comes without housing allowance is not a proper expat, but just a foreign "talent".

1. Currently I am jobless (i just came back from career break) and looking for other jobs in Malaysia (applied almost 2 months ago but no news).  My ex-boss asking me to come back and offer me RM5.5k per month. So now i am in doubt whether should I go back or go SG.

2. I applied SG job because my parents say the pay is good (due to the exchange rate). I didn't expect to get the offer.

3. Single

Sorry about that. Was rushing this morning.
*
rm5.5k vs sgd4k is not too bad. single and all, come and work la. wink.gif

PSA:

QUOTE(MOM)
CHANGES TO DEPENDANT PRIVILEGES FOR WORK PASS HOLDERS

As part of periodic updating, MOM has reviewed the qualifying salary criteria for work pass
holders to qualify for dependant privileges. This is to ensure that main pass holders are able
to upkeep their dependants in Singapore.

From 1 January 2018:
- Work pass holders need to meet a minimum fixed monthly salary of $6,000 to bring
in their spouse/children (on Dependant’s Pass).
- Work pass holders need to meet a minimum fixed monthly salary of $12,000 to bring
in their parents (on Long Term Visit Pass).

New Dependant’s Pass (DP) applications for spouse/children and Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP)
applications for parents received before 1 January 2018 will be assessed on existing criteria.

Renewal DPs/LTVPs approved or issued before 1 January 2018 will also be assessed on
existing criteria as long as the main pass holder holds a valid work pass with the same
employer.

It's good that one makes such decisions early. Then you can jump through all the hoops earlier in SG, later in the future wanna settle down in SG also alot easier.

Ya, i found that female'salary in SG is extreme high than male, especially those female who study part time degree and join the workforce immediately after high school, 20-22 years old. At the meantime, me, start my first job in SG (although have 3 years experience) with fresh graduate salary, those girls already earning 3.5-5k per month already, and they are same age with me and even younger than me  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif

Come to Singapore you cannot settle with simple life. Must aim high to become top 5 percentile in everything.

Get a C-Suite job if not own few businesses, stay in GCB if not penthouse, drive sports car if not conti car. kids must push them study oversea study if not local JC. Anything less than that is mediocre
*
wah. really got spirit. no wonder singapore wants u.

thats the kind of spine LKY is looking for!
