i personally believe race and religion should not be an issue, but i think you should find out more about the legal stuff as well, how it might impact you.

you may be okay with it but most likely, your future kids will have to be Muslims, and it can influence their lives abit. for example, there are certain things they have to do such as must take pendidikan Islam for major exams (bcos this matter follow IC). last time i know a form 3 kid want to sit for PT3 cannot register for moral and suddenly need to learn PI, even though she was not raised as a muslim. so poor girl was very confused why she need to shift class (and teacher also cannot do anything because that is the law and right thing to do) because the mother did not even tell her about the situation. just sharing this example as it will be good for you to find out more before you get into a serious relationship.
