Anyone know whether the 3rd generation will be released anytime soon? Mostly the gap between each generation is how long?

3rd generation? The second just came out! Gap between songs should be less than 2 seconds.

Yea, I know that it has just been released. Just afraid that the moment I buy it, the third generation releases on the next day or next month.

wont be too soon. shud be in more than a year for 3rd gen.

hv a look at 'ipod' in wiki, you will see the ipod release pattern. pretty fixed. there is another website tat analyse apple products release time, but i cant find it anymore. for example apple release new version of mac os every 18 months.
