Hi, i'm very new here and dont know much about audio, unexpectedly got  a apair of A300, yesterday.

Between amplifier(Yamaha WXA-50) and preamp(WXC-50), which one is better for a300 to connect to?

Nice speaker rclxms.gif

Like kevinlim001 said, A300 is with built in amp, you can't use external amp to power it. And it even have USB input if you want to connect it directly with pc/laptop/tablet/handphone in addition to other normal input such as RCA, optical, and bluetooth.

How do you feel the difference on treble and female voice for both? Since 1 is using planar while another is ribbon.
For bass I assume you mean both sound the same? But A100 need some placement fine tune to get the same bass? If just put same place to S3000pro, how does A100 bass sound like?

11.11 haul? laugh.gif

It does look same RCA port. I think it got 2 RCA for in case using stereo output. Yo can try just use any 1 RCA from A100 to T5.

How's the treble sound on A100? Cymbal or guitar picking sound like really there?

Tested S3000Pro and A300Pro side by side

High & Mid: A300Pro is more natural and easy to listen the ears. The sound of S3000Pro is airy, very good at high but slightly weaker on mid(vocal).

Bass: A300Pro can go deeper bass than S3000Pro, even though A300Pro specs stated 40-40khz (s3000pro:38-40khz). A300Pro has slightly tighter and cleaner bass. S3000Pro still has very good bass and still beat most of the bookshelf speakers twice of its price. The treble and bass control on A300Pro remote control allows amplification of bass for movie watching. Both speakers can output bass below 40hz, will be surprised at how low the bass go down.

Size: A300Pro is ~25% bigger than S3000Pro

Conclusion: S3000Pro is already good enough for music, movies

For highs only, how much difference between both? Sounds like cymbal, does it sound sharp and crisp?
I was considering between S3000Pro and A300. A300Pro is double the price than S3000Pro. sweat.gif

Ya I also agree you don't need DAC + pre amp since already have digital connection from source to speaker.
