I got my A100 pretty cheap from 11 Nov sale (Less than 1.7k - brand new), so I got the chance to risk/test it. Need another pair of speaker for small living room anyway.

This speakers is producing Balance and Clean sound (It capable to have very tight and wide bass depends type of music source you play), is different from S3000Pro signature, if you interested to know the different .

S3000Pro is exciting for overall use, A100 is a sound separation expert and you can't say the bass is not enough because i can get the similarity rumble low signature from s3000pro (depends how you position the speaker - how near to wall and how wide between the speakers. - I spent few days just to get it right.

A100 sound very clean, good separation and balance (is a good thing for music listening) and particular what hardware and music source you play, this is what I've tested with..

1. Dac (Optical/RCA/Bluetooth input)
2. Direct Bluetooth (iPhone/Samsung Note10+/iMac/Window 10 laptop and PC)
3. USB to USB direct (Nvidia shield Pro - Android)
4. Optical direct (Nvidia shield Pro - Android / Dac)

Result for connection type - This result came out surprisingly huge gap between connection source, kinda sad but it shine when using the right one so I'm glad because I really enjoy every bit of it. The sound is bigger and wider than it looks. I can move it down to bigger hall with it now.

1. USB and Optical - 5/5
- Best and only option to maximise the potential with enjoyable level.

2. Bluetooth - 3/5
- Best go with Android and Window devices. Sound doesn't right with Apple devices.

3. RCA - 1/5
- The fact is I thought it will be straight forward from the Dac(s) source but somehow the speaker did something internally which I don't understand (It has built in Dac and Amp) - it does sound flat, or maybe I done not enough test... who's know.

My final setup for the speakers.

Using Nvidia Shield Pro as a direct streaming media > HDMI > TV
Using Nvidia Shield Pro as a direct streaming media > USB > A100
Using in-apps Tidal (MASTER capable/on board Apps) / Spotify (Shield Direct/Cast/On board Apps) / Plex / Neflix / HBOmax / HULU / Disney+
With this setup I able to cast with any device including Android/Apples/Windows + Google assistance devices for Volume/PlayStop/Next/Back/What song and which apps to play.

Conclusion.
This is a good pair for entry level audiophile pair of speakers for music and not really suitable for movie - If you compare with speaker systems with center piece or sound bar. But it doesn't mean bad, you need to do lots of setup in your media player, for example Nvidia Shield and make sure is purely Stereo output only.

On computer desk use, no problem at all! As long as you don't mind the size.

Cheers.

Personally i do prefer A100 female vocal voice because it well refine.
S3000pro seems easier for me to position it and the bass definitely bigger and exciting than A100, as for A100 i did place nearer to the wall to get tighter wider bass. First i wish they're same but 5" and 6.5" seems like not logical... hahaha

l actually love both of them and A100 have very clean sound and the design i like.

How do you feel the difference on treble and female voice for both? Since 1 is using planar while another is ribbon.
For bass I assume you mean both sound the same? But A100 need some placement fine tune to get the same bass? If just put same place to S3000pro, how does A100 bass sound like?
