QUOTE(alexlim_88 @ Nov 23 2017, 10:16 PM) Alright.. been looking for HDR10 monitor for about a month.. finally, Acer has come out an HDR10 monitor which has affordable price! Wish to do programming work, game dev work, photoshop, and console games in one monitor. Tada ET322QK ~!! Not yet available in Malaysia (as shitty as always). Available already in Singapore, at SG$434.99. Yep it is around RM1400... no kidding... https://www.newegg.com/global/sg/Product/Pr...158&ignorebbr=1Need to find a way to deliver to Malaysia. Dell also got a model that has HDR and it is available here already. The model is U2718Q, market selling for like RM2599 or so.

A monitor that cost twice the console. Absolutely no. Based on this, the monitor is pseudo HDR : http://denwereview.com/best-hdr-gaming-mon...e-x-ps4-pro-pc/This post has been edited by Hattori: Nov 25 2017, 08:22 PM

Based on this, the monitor is pseudo HDR : http://denwereview.com/best-hdr-gaming-mon...e-x-ps4-pro-pc/As long as it doesn't hit 1000cd/m², of course it's pseudo HDR with HDR 10 standard. I don't really need 800 - 1000nit feature on my monitor and sit so near to it unless you're wearing sunglasses and work in front of your monitor . Someone has already complained the Acer HDR mentioned above because they CAN'T change the brightness and contrast when HDR mode is turned on, and yes again, you get what you pay. Just realized 4K is a gimmick instead of what we want is HDR and 60fps in gaming. I saw this BenQ EW277HDR, 1080p with 400 cd/m² in Taobao around RM1100, The only downside of this monitor is shitty VA panel...So now I need to spend extra time to look for 1080 with 400nit HDR feature with IPS panel... QUOTE(iguana_dude_619 @ Nov 27 2017, 04:13 PM) is it worth buying 1080p HDR? is like minor upgrade but you paid shit extra for it Differences between visual with HDR and without HDR is f**kinly huge. A cheap monitor with brightness of 400cd/m2 is a very good buy, if we want to play console games on it... Most of the ps4 pro-enhanced AAA games are only enhanced in either 4K with 30fps, OR less than 4K (mostly, 1080p) in 60fps. Very less sports and casual games supports 4K with 60fps. So, ask yourself back again, given you a monitor, do you want to play your games in 4K with 30fps (with option 1080p in 60fps) on it? Hell NO. So yep, cheap, 1080p monitor with 400cd/m2 and high contrast ratio, HDR10-ready in VA panel (darker black) for console games -> BUY. This post has been edited by alexlim_88: Nov 28 2017, 10:16 AM

QUOTE(veztev @ Mar 1 2017, 02:46 PM) Even though im using the slim version, plugging the console on a monitor feels more laggy compared to tv. Maybe because of the distance. Sit near, our eyes can 'feel' the framerate... You little C**t. Almost had me pressing on my screen thanks to your profile picture. Lol.Good one.
