the supplied earset with s8 or s8+ is too ordinary for me. the AKG branding is a shame really.

I still remember those samsung fanboys in this forum bashed me before s8 came out when i said the earset is not really a AKG made earset.. now i havent see those fanboys praising it

I admire the XZP and heavily consider it to replace the galaxy S8+ as my secondary phone. But its boxy shape turns me down. for me it makes the phone feels 1" larger in hand that it supposed to be.

from the reviews i've seen so far, it seems XZP and U11 is the top 2 android smartphones in terms of speed and smoothness.

yeah these 2 phones might be a bit boring if compare to features-rich and great design of galaxy s8 or s8+ and LG G6, but they are too efficient that the usage experience is unbeatable.

both sony and htc do a very job in making huge improvement over XZs and U Ultra.

I see XZP & XZs is like a Galaxy Note 8 & S8.

both are a tad improvement over it's smaller model.

Yeah definitely better than s8 as XZP has more solid area to absorb the shock...

Btw the test not really accurate as most of the screen bottom test, the screen didnt hit the floor first. Most of the time is the edge of the phone hits the floor first.

Finally get to test xperia xz premium for the next few days.

I'll definitely give my personal feedback on both devices.

I dont expect people in this thread to choose u11. This is xzp thread afterall. Haha.

Plus I guess not many people like me or Uncle Benny in this forum. Totally neutral. I frequently change phone from one manufacturer to another so there is no room for brand-biased.

Well i never said only two of us. I said not many means there are others also but minority.

It's okay if u wanna be more freak gadgets than me. I dont own xzp yet.. i recently own so many devices 2 galaxy s8+ orchid gray and midnight black, 1 galaxy s8 midnight black, 1 U11 amazing silver and 1 U11 sapphire blue.

Still thinking if I should get this XZP to replace any of my S8+ or to replace my old nexus 6p or Google Pixel that just sit in my drawer.

Btw i've returned the xzp to my friend and i have clear view on the device. The pros n cons.. but after such silly thing got reported, i guess no one interested in knowing the cons or comparisons. Afterall XZP is sent from heaven. So enjoy it guys n have fun.

Okay.

So here is my personal comparison between XZP and U11

Design:
Ignoring the same design with previous xperia or much more elegant aluminum body of previous htc, i find both are equally great in design perspective, in their own way. XZP gives impression of elegance with its materials n shape.
U11 has a bit outdated shape, but feels the best in hand and pocket due to its curve back. Also IMHO the colour is really nice.

Display:
XZP has very rich and vibrant colour, but i still feel sony should set the default at 2k reso. Once your eyes used to 2k display, u can still see the the pixels or lack or sharpness fhd provides.

The 4K capability is nice, but personally I wont watch 4K video as frequent as I watch FHD or even 2K content.

htc u11 superLCD display has more natural colours and due to its 2k native display, it looks sharper at all time.

Sound:
Both has dual speaker, but u11 is definitely better in terms of quality and loudness. I wont comment on earphone because using different earphone is a bit unfair.

Rear Camera:
Outdoors with good lighting, both are equivalently good. However in low light, XZP is way better.

For video, both are good but htc lacks advanced option in this mode.

Front camera:
I'm not a selfie type but i think u11 front camera tends to over expose at all time. The quality is better than XZP though.

Performance:
Both are fast. No hiccups. But htc u11 doesnt keep background apps as good as XZP does.

UI:
Im a blinkfeed fan - easier for me to read all my reading materials from various sources at one place.
Also, sorry to say but for me there's nothing special about sony's ui.

Battery:
Not fair to compare because I have different sets of apps running on both phones. But both phones can easily last u from morning till night.

So which one do i choose? Seriously both are really good. For me, XZP is the clear winner in camera part. It's weird because htc u11 is touted as highest scoring mobile phone camera by DxOMark. But the low light quality and over expose front camera is a let down. But other than the camera, U11 is my pick

I havent tested it but i think yeah there's no such sound setting in u11.

Does xz premium has dual sim slots and dedicated microsd slot?
