QUOTE(Likesh @ Jun 9 2017, 11:42 AM) Interesting. The charger that was provided with mine (Thorus Pre-ordered) is that of the Fast Charge variant, which was surprising as it was not advertised to be having it this time round. Not sure if it is the same with the XZ Premium, but with the XZ, the fast charge slows down the closer it gets to 100%. Meaning, 0-30% will charge much faster than 50-80%. |

For those who are planning on using the XZ Premium naked, do be aware that the glass portion of the phone can be slippery. My XZ P just fell from 1 feet. Placed it on a plastic stool, didn't realised and it slide off.
On flat surfaces, the top/bottom metal lips will hold it in place, but on smooth surfaces that in contact with the glass back more than the lips, it can slide around very easily. |

QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ Jun 11 2017, 11:54 AM) it's the oleophobic coating. that's why it is very slippery. In your hands it's not slippery, but on some specific surfaces, especially matte plastic, the ones you find on those hard surface gaming mouse pads.nevertheless, still beware of the said case. Just a heads up to other owners, at least this was from 1 feet, so nothing serious. Can't imagine if it was from a higher height. |

QUOTE(Maiden222 @ Jun 13 2017, 02:59 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Video Winner: Tie. It's nearly impossible to pick one of the three - they're that good. The Xperia scores major points for its slo-mo video, but some will argue it's of limited use. Good thing then, that the Sony smartphone also excels in 4K and has a stabilization that works. The Galaxy S8 captures very good 4K itself, but reigns supreme in 1080p, where its stabilization also functions better than in 4K. The G6 has perhaps the most detailed 4K video, and with a wide-angle cam on top of the regular one it's a boon for action shooters. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « SOS http://m.gsmarena.com/lg_g6_samsung_galaxy...view-1612p9.php I fail to understand how can they claim the S8 reign supreme in 1080p when all video comparison shows way more shakes on the S8's video compared to the silky smooth videos recorded on the XZs/XZ Premium. And don't let the 5.5" vs 5.8" fool you. It might seem like a "big" difference but it's only a 5% increase in screen real estate because of the longer 2:1 ratio as compared to the wider 16:9 ratio. QUOTE(hamtarox @ Jun 14 2017, 08:51 PM) just that i feel sometime sony suppose can be better but then very kiam siap on certain things that pulled its own leg ...like for now xzp still using F2.0 Aperture lens but other brand even not flagship model already using F 1.7 lens and this cause sony's picture always look bad then other phone in extreme low light condition.Sometime feel like sony got those artist temper or in chinese we call head wind or artist temper There are a lot of factors in play here as to why an image turns out the way it does. Aperture is only one of it. Other factors would be the sensor size, sensor quality (not all sensors are built equally), what shutter speed is being use (be it manual/auto), OIS/EIS tech employed, software processing/compression, even the lens themselves and how much light goes through or what distortions the glass produces. So do not fall for the f1.7 is a smaller number than f2.0, therefor Sony is cheating/cutting back. There could be many reasons why Sony decided to stick to a f2.0 aperture. For one, remember that apertures on phones are fixed, not variable. And the DOF/Sharpness on focus points etc are determined by both the aperture size as well as the sensor sizes. The larger the sensor, the more variable the DOF can be, in which the Sony does have a larger sensor. Also, do note that, if both apertures at the same, the larger the sensor will capture more light as the surface area is larger. QUOTE(bpay14 @ Jun 14 2017, 09:50 PM) i agree with u.. Is there anywhere you can upload to share the full image? I want to view the EXIF data of the image to further understand the circumstances. Your files has been stripped of it.Sony can be much better, jz feel that they're keeping something behind for dont know what reason.. zZzz... my feeling is like 恨铁不成钢 😂 sharing pic i took jz now 7pm+ auto mode snapshot. how come photo is rotated here.. |
