I just saw Vista running on a MacBook Black in KLCC. Was in TechPeace. How smooth is Vista running with the Intel GMA950?

QUOTE(jensen_tidus @ Mar 7 2007, 11:08 AM) in vista business... i'm sure u r turning ur aero interface off right ? Better don't. Parallels is good for winxp atm. Why? Even you install vista, you won't have aero interface(it is because parallels currently don't support 3D acceleration), it is the same thing as winxp. Winxp smoother in parallels. anything which doesnt work aside of the aero thingy ?? i'm planning to get parallel for vista Anyway, if you want aero interface. Can, no problem. Just use bootcamp. Btw, just to let you know that Parallels is an emulator. So it will have a performance hit. |

QUOTE(jensen_tidus @ Mar 8 2007, 11:50 AM) hmm... vista on bootcamp is coming out soon ?? Frankly, i'm not so sure because i don't have real mac. From what i read (insanelymac forum), you can use the currently beta bootcamp to install vista. Just got some of the driver issue which is not compatible in vista. yea... i'm worried bout my machine which is running hot sometimes when it's stressed too much on having 2 OS running at the same time... using parallel on xp btw = ) but if i'm using any bootcamp which support vista tat might come out in the future.... my gma950 can support the graphic hungry aero? |

Hey there... I am using my Macbook with Vista... it works wonderfully! I only had to install Vista coz my Engineering course needed some AutoCAD, and 3D Solidworks software.. which I couldn't get hold of for Mac... Window's Aero works beautifully... my Lowest base score is 2.3... but the rest are high.. all above 4.5.
My specs are Core Duo 2.0Ghz... 1GB 667MHz DDRII SDRAM... 120GB SATA... (40GB for vista)... Windows Vista Ultimate btw... |
